Motor vehicle headlamp with a light module and an adjustment device for adjusting the main beam direction of the light module

The invention relates to a motor vehicle headlamp that has a housing and a light module that is connected to the housing by an adjustment device for adjusting the main beam direction thereof. The adjustment device has a threaded adjustment assembly and a pivot lever, which is supported in the housing such that it can pivot about a stationary pivot point in relation to the housing. The pivot lever has a movement input coupling section at a distance to the pivot point, with which it is coupled in a flexible manner to the adjustment assembly. The pivot lever is connected to the light module at a movement output coupling section that is at a distance to the pivot point and the movement input coupling section.

INDISCERNIBLE HEADLAMP ADJUSTER MECHANISM

An apparatus, according to an exemplary aspect of the present disclosure includes, among other things, a lamp housing that houses a headlamp adjuster assembly moveable between an adjustment position and an inaccessible stowed position within the lamp housing, and a holder to hold the headlamp adjuster assembly in the adjustment position. The holder is selectively removable such that the headlamp adjuster assembly retracts to the inaccessible stowed position. A method according to an exemplary aspect of the present disclosure includes, among other things, biasing a headlamp adjuster toward the inaccessible stowed position, installing the holder to hold the headlamp adjuster external to the lamp housing against the biasing force, adjusting a position of a headlamp with the headlamp adjuster, and removing the holder such that the headlamp adjuster retracts to the inaccessible stowed position.

Vehicle light assemblies

A vehicle includes a bezel defining a lamp cavity. A lamp assembly includes a base slide coupled with the bezel. A lamp slide is slidably coupled with the base slide. A housing bracket is coupled to the lamp slide and to a lamp housing. An actuator is coupled to the lamp slide and configured to move the lamp housing through the lamp cavity.

The specified level is compared with a level of a target line calculated based on a change of an inter-vehicle distance. The method includes determining whether it is necessary to perform a correction of raising or lowering the level of the headlamp, and a correcting the level of the headlamp such that the cutoff line of the headlamp follows the level of the target line at the corresponding inter-vehicle distance.
