Vehicular light-emitting device
The present disclosure enables lighting performance which appears as if there are more light sources than the actual number of light sources, and reduces brightness unevenness. A vehicular light-emitting device includes a plurality of light-emitting units, each of which includes an LED part and a lens configured to diffuse and emit the light received from the LED part, the plurality of light-emitting units being arranged side by side. The plurality of light-emitting units are arranged so that one or more brightness peak values exist between adjacent light-emitting units. Moreover, the light emitted from the lenses of the light-emitting units has a plurality of brightness peaks with respect to the spreading direction of the light, and the arrangement interval of the plurality of light-emitting units is set so that the plurality of brightness peaks of the light emitted from the plurality of light-emitting units are aligned at substantially equal intervals.
Active fixation and retention system for automotive housing module
The present invention relates to an active fixation system for automotive lighting modules or component assemblies; more particularly, an active fixation system and methods dynamically apply flexible contact and clip retention arrangements for securing component modules to an automotive vehicle body efficiently that securably maintain interfaces for extended durations; the invention benefits from fastener hardware count reduction and assembly process facilitation; furthermore, the active fixation system enhances overall fit and finish to ensure proper sealing improvements that prevent external environmental or weather penetration and promote features that can effectively secure component modules beyond ordinary life-cycles under various operating conditions inclusive of vehicle vibration, component rattling and proper connection retention capabilities.
Illuminated signs for vehicles, mounting systems therefor and related methods
A self-contained illuminated sign for mounting on a vehicle is disclosed. The sign includes a front panel, a rear panel situated opposite and substantially parallel to the front panel in spaced relation therefrom to define a space therebetween, and a light source comprising a plurality of LEDs. The light source is positioned between the front and rear panels and is configured to emit light that emanates from the front panel. The front panel is thus backlit to display indicia. A system for supporting a self-contained illuminated sign on a vehicle is also disclosed. The system includes the sign and a separate mounting frame mountable on a vehicle. The mounting frame is configured to removably receive the sign and, when the sign is received in the mounting frame, to surround a perimeter of the sign while permitting visibility of the front display area. Related methods are also disclosed.
Vehicle mounting platform using vehicle applique
A mounting platform having shaped front clips and back tabs. The mounting platform is adapted or configured to mount onto an applique attached to a vehicle without making any modifications to the vehicle. The front clips and back tabs are positioned and adapted or configured to attach to the applique or correspond with original fasteners used to hold the applique to the vehicle. The mounting platform is attached the applique without making any additional openings or holes in the vehicle.
ILLUMINATED SIGNS FOR VEHICLES, MOUNTING SYSTEMS THEREFOR AND RELATED METHODS

Related methods are also disclosed.
DETACHABLE LIGHTING ASSEMBLY FOR A VEHICLE
A vehicle assembly includes, among other things, a lighting assembly moveable back and forth between an attached position and a detached position. The lighting assembly spans from a first rail assembly of a vehicle to a second rail assembly of the vehicle when the lighting assembly is in the attached position. A vehicle lighting method includes, when a lighting assembly is in an attached position, engaging a first end portion of the lighting assembly with a first rail assembly of a vehicle, and when the lighting assembly is in the attached position, engaging an opposite, second end portion of the lighting assembly with a second rail assembly of the vehicle. The lighting assembly is configured to illuminate an area adjacent a vehicle when the lighting assembly is in the attached position.
LOW PROFILE REAR LAMP APPLIQUE ASSEMBLY
A rear liftgate assembly with at least one rear lamp applique assembly and process for manufacturing same. The lamp applique assembly includes a rear lamp applique housing with at least one attachment surface for attaching to an outer panel of the liftgate assembly. A plurality of integrated snap attachment features are provided to connect the lamp applique assembly to the outer panel, thereby eliminating additional bonding and fasteners. A self-sealing wire harness connected accepts an integrated lamp connector, thereby eliminating the need for access openings, to further minimize water intrusion, and eliminate gaskets.
CLAMPING MIRROR LIGHT
A universal clamp including a first jaw, a guide, a fixed jaw, an adjustment mechanism, and a coupler. The first jaw has a first clamping face. The guide is coupled to the first jaw. The second jaw has a second clamping face. The second jaw is adjustably connected to the guide to move relative to the first jaw with the first clamping face oriented to face the second clamping face. The adjustment mechanism adjusts and secures the first jaw relative to the second jaw. The coupler is connected to at least one of the first jaw and the second jaw. The coupler is configured to facilitate attachment of a structure to the universal clamp.
