LOW PROFILE REAR LAMP APPLIQUE ASSEMBLY
A rear liftgate assembly with at least one rear lamp applique assembly and process for manufacturing same. The lamp applique assembly includes a rear lamp applique housing with at least one attachment surface for attaching to an outer panel of the liftgate assembly. A plurality of integrated snap attachment features are provided to connect the lamp applique assembly to the outer panel, thereby eliminating additional bonding and fasteners. A self-sealing wire harness connected accepts an integrated lamp connector, thereby eliminating the need for access openings, to further minimize water intrusion, and eliminate gaskets.
Lamp body structure for saddle riding vehicle
The lamp body structure for the saddle riding vehicle includes a taillight, and a cover covering the taillight from the periphery. The cover includes a pair of rear-side turn signal lamps fixed to the cover such as to be located on both left and right sides of the taillight. The rear-side turn signal lamp is provided with a fixture for fixing the rear-side turn signal lamp to the cover. The taillight is inserted into an opening provided in the cover, whereby a lens is exposed to outside and is covered by the cover from the periphery. The rear-side turn signal lamp includes a guard section covering the fixture.
TRIM PANEL FOR AN EXTERNAL PILLAR OF A MOTOR VEHICLE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SUCH A TRIM PANEL
A trim panel for an external pillar of a motor vehicle, including: a first trim element which is formed by a first translucent or transparent material or a material which permits the diffusion of light which has a given wavelength, the first element having an external surface which is orientated towards the outer side of the vehicle and an internal surface which is orientated towards the inner side of the vehicle; a second trim element which is formed by a second non-translucent and non-transparent material which does not allow the diffusion of light which has a given wavelength, the second element having an external surface in contact with the internal surface of the first element, the second element further having at least one recess which does not have the second material; an insert which is formed by a third translucent or transparent material or by a material which permits the diffusion of light which has a given wavelength, the insert comprising a nesting portion which is arranged so as to completely fill the recess of the second element,
Light bar using surface-mount technology
A light bar has a circuit board positioned within a housing and having light emitting diodes (LEDs) which are mounted to a surface of the circuit board with surface-mount technology (SMT). The housing has wiring electrically connected to a controller. The controller is configured to receive signals from the electrical system of the vehicle, interpret the signals received from the electrical system of the vehicle, and in response automatically control illumination of independently controllable LEDs. The controller is initially programmed to perform specific function(s) and/or strobe according to specific patterns and is thereafter at least partially restricted from being reprogrammed by a user to serve other function(s), either by restricting the emission of light in at least one color and/or preventing specific strobing pattern(s).
Element for positioning a component in space
An adjustable positioning element (1) enabling a component (7) to be positioned and fastened in three dimensions is provided. The element comprises a bolt (2) with which the component (7) can be positioned in an axial direction (z) of the bolt (2), a hollow body (4) presenting an annular end wall through which the bolt passes, and a fastener element (5) with a washer (25) surrounding the bolt and arranged to be movable sideways against the end wall of the hollow body (4). The washer (25) is designed to be pressed against the end wall of the hollow body when the fastener element is attached to the bolt so as to fix the lateral (xy) position of the bolt (2) in the hollow body (4). The fastener element (5) and the bolt (2) are arranged to attach to each other by reversible snap-fastening.
ANGLE COUPLING
An angular coupling for fastening a first component, especially a mounting part in a vehicle, to a second component, especially a vehicle body, which comprises a coupling bolt with a head and a coupling socket in which the coupling bolt can be pivoted in a plane angle portion while the head of the coupling bolt is locked releasably or not releasably. The coupling socket comprises an arch with a push-in opening, a fastening collar surrounding the push-in opening having a not round shape with a longitudinal axis and a shorter transverse axis, wherein the arch encloses a pivoting plane generated by the longitudinal axis of the push-in opening and the push-in direction, which defines a variable angular orientation of the lockable coupling bolt in a plane angle portion which is limited at the maximum by an inner wall of the arch.
Step tread luminaire
The specification discloses a step tread luminaire including an optic and a light source directing light into the optic. The optic is a flexible elastomer adapted to be fitted into a hole in a step tread in grommet-like fashion with an upper portion of the optic on the top of the tread and a lower portion of the optic on the bottom of the tread. The optic emits upwardly directed, decorative light from the upper portion of the optic and downwardly directed, functional light from the lower portion of the optic.
VEHICULAR LIGHT-EMITTING DEVICE
The present disclosure enables lighting performance which appears as if there are more light sources than the actual number of light sources, and reduces brightness unevenness. A vehicular light-emitting device includes a plurality of light-emitting units, each of which includes an LED part and a lens configured to diffuse and emit the light received from the LED part, the plurality of light-emitting units being arranged side by side. The plurality of light-emitting units are arranged so that one or more brightness peak values exist between adjacent light-emitting units. Moreover, the light emitted from the lenses of the light-emitting units has a plurality of brightness peaks with respect to the spreading direction of the light, and the arrangement interval of the plurality of light-emitting units is set so that the plurality of brightness peaks of the light emitted from the plurality of light-emitting units are aligned at substantially equal intervals.
Lamp selectively connectable to moveable or fixed vehicle panel and lamp placement method
A vehicle assembly includes a lamp, a moveable panel configured such that the lamp is operably mountable to the moveable panel under a first operating condition, and a fixed panel configured such that the lamp is operably mountable to the fixed panel under a different, second operating condition. The lamp is configured to be powered through the moveable panel when operably mounted to the moveable panel. The lamp is configured to be powered through the fixed panel when operably mounted to the fixed panel.
