ILLUMINATED SIGNS FOR VEHICLES, MOUNTING SYSTEMS THEREFOR AND RELATED METHODS
A self-contained illuminated sign for mounting on a vehicle is disclosed. The sign includes a front panel, a rear panel situated opposite and substantially parallel to the front panel in spaced relation therefrom to define a space therebetween, and a light source comprising a plurality of LEDs. The light source is positioned between the front and rear panels and is configured to emit light that emanates from the front panel. The front panel is thus backlit to display indicia. A system for supporting a self-contained illuminated sign on a vehicle is also disclosed. The system includes the sign and a separate mounting frame mountable on a vehicle. The mounting frame is configured to removably receive the sign and, when the sign is received in the mounting frame, to surround a perimeter of the sign while permitting visibility of the front display area. Related methods are also disclosed.
ANNULAR PLUG-IN COUPLING AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A CONNECTION BETWEEN COMPONENTS WITH THE AID OF THE ANNULAR PLUG-IN COUPLING
An annular plug-in coupling having a ring structure with a longitudinal axis, a radial inner side and a radial outer side, a fastening structure on the outer side of the ring structure with a first and a second undercut acting against one another in the longitudinal direction of the ring structure, of which at least the first undercut can be moved resiliently in the radial direction, a latching structure arranged centrally the ring structure, with which a coupling pin of a second component can be releasably connected and which consists of at least three spring arms, the width of which is arranged in the longitudinal direction of the ring structure and is greater than a thickness, the spring arms extend inwards from the radial inner side of the ring structure and end in a free fastening end which include at least an insertion slope and a clamping portion.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR RELEASABLY ATTACHING A TAIL LIGHT
An apparatus for releasably attaching a tail light to a vehicle body of a motor vehicle. The tail light is or becomes connected to the vehicle body in an interlocking manner on at least two interlocking connection points. In order to simplify the releasable attachment of the tail light, the tail light is connected to the vehicle body by way of at least one latching connection in addition to the interlocking connection points in order to establish the tail light in an assembled position in all spatial directions.
Receiver assembly
A receiver assembly includes a housing supporting a receiver at least partially within the housing. The receiver includes interior walls forming a cavity accessible through a slot formed in a face of the receiver. First and second lugs extend from the receiver and opposing guide tracks extend from the housing for receiving at least portions of the first and second lugs and limiting movement of the receiver to a first axis within a first plane.
Locking position stud fastener for a vehicle lamp assembly
A locking position stud fastener is configured to position, lock, and securely hold a lamp assembly to a vehicle body. A method for installing a lamp assembly on to a vehicle body having at least one opening for receiving a fastener includes the steps of securing a first end of a stud to the lamp assembly, rotating the stud about its axis, passing the stud through the vehicle body opening, and then locking and securing the stud in the vehicle body.
Set of auxiliary vehicle lights
The set of auxiliary vehicle lights includes auxiliary hazard lights in combination with additional lights for non-verbal communication with drivers of other vehicles. The set of auxiliary vehicle lights includes a housing having opposed upper and lower ends, defining first and second chambers. Each of the first and second chambers has an open front end and an open rear end. First and second sets of light sources are mounted within the first and second chambers, respectively, of the housing. Each of the first and second sets of light sources includes a hazard light and a communication light. A hook is provided for releasably attaching the housing to a rearview mirror of the vehicle.
Trim panel for an external pillar of a motor vehicle and method for manufacturing such a trim panel
A trim panel for an external pillar of a motor vehicle, including: a first trim element which is formed by a first translucent or transparent material or a material which permits the diffusion of light which has a given wavelength, a second trim element which is formed by a second non-translucent and non-transparent material which does not allow the diffusion of light which has a given wavelength, the second element having an external surface in contact with an internal surface of the first element, the second element further having at least one recess which does not have the second material; an insert which is formed by a third translucent or transparent material or by a material which permits the diffusion of light which has a given wavelength, the insert comprising a nesting portion which is arranged so as to completely fill the recess of the second element.
LIGHT-TRANSMITTING ASSEMBLY AND VEHICLE
A light-transmitting assembly and a vehicle are provided in the disclosure. The light-transmitting assembly includes a light-transmitting substrate and a light source assembly. The light-transmitting substrate defines a mounting through-hole. The light source assembly is connected to the light-transmitting substrate and positioned at the mounting through-hole. The light source assembly includes a box, a lampshade, and a light-emitting element. The lampshade is detachably connected to the box. The lampshade and the box cooperatively define an accommodating space. The light-emitting element is received in the accommodating space. The light-transmitting assembly of the disclosure can be assembled and disassembled quickly and repeatedly, thereby realizing quick replacement of the light-emitting element.
