One or more mirror mounting arms may be attached to the fixed support portion by one or more conjoining mechanisms. In other embodiments, the fixed support portion comprises a metal mounting plate configured to be fixedly connected to the vehicle at existing upper door hinge mounting holes. The mounting plate includes at least one conjoining mechanism for connecting one or more mirror mounting arms thereto.
CAMERA ARM OF A CAMERA-BASED MIRROR SUBSTITUTE SYSTEM FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE
A camera arm of a camera-based mirror substitute system for a motor vehicle comprises a first structural element for connecting the camera arm to a motor vehicle and a second structural element which comprises at least one camera, the second structural element being pivotable in relation to the first structural element. In order to provide a fastening for cameras of camera monitor systems for mirror substitution in motor vehicles, said fastening offering improved protection against external damaging influences on the fastening and on all elements, devices and modules, in particular cameras, arranged thereon, and enabling an optimum image area of the camera, it is proposed that the second structural element and the first structural element are connected to one another by way of a pivoting mechanism, the pivoting mechanism comprising a planetary gearing.
Folding-in device for a mirror replacement system
The present disclosure relates to a device for folding in a camera on a motor vehicle in order to protect the device in the event of a collision with an obstacle. The device has a first housing element, in which the camera is received. The device has a second housing element, which is constructed to be connected to the motor vehicle in a positionally fixed manner. The first housing element and the second housing element are pivotably connected to each other by means of a first pivot connection, which defines a first rotation axis, and a second pivot connection, which defines a second rotation axis which is spaced apart from the first rotation axis.
Bearing assembly, fastening device herewith, and mounting part for vehicles comprising said fastening device
The description relates to a bearing assembly for rotatably or pivotally connecting a first (4) and a second (6) component to each other, wherein the two components (4, 6) are connected by a connecting element (8) disposed to be coaxial to a rotary or pivot axis (A); each of the two components (4, 6) comprises at least one first contact zone (10.4, 10.6), the contact zones (10.4, 10.6) having first abutment faces (12.4, 12.6) which are complementary with respect to each other; the respective first abutment faces (12.4, 12.6) being urged towards each other with an elastic preload force by a biasing part; and a latching geometry acting as a first latching means (14) being arranged between the first abutment faces (12.4, 12.6). Each of the two components (4, 6) has at least one second contact zone (18.4, 18.6).
Arm assembly for a side view mirror
Disclosed herein is an assembly for a side view mirror for a vehicle. The assembly comprises two arm members which are configured to receive a side view mirror thereat and a joining member for joining the arm members. The joining member comprises two sleeves, where each sleeve projects from a respective arm member and comprises an interlocking profile at a distal end thereof. The assembly also comprises a tightener configured for receipt through the sleeves when the sleeves are in an aligned configuration. Tightening the tightener draws the interlocking profiles of the aligned sleeves into engagement, whereby the arm members become rigidly joined.
Collapsible vehicle camera arm assembly
A vehicle arm assembly includes a carrier base for attaching to a vehicle. A support arm is rotatably mounted relative to the carrier base. A first detent ring includes a plurality of first detent projections circumferentially offset by a plurality of first detent channels. A second detent ring includes a plurality of second detent projections circumferentially offset by a plurality of second detent channels. The first detent ring is fixed relative to one of the carrier base or the support arm. The second detent ring is fixed relative to the other of the carrier base or the support ring. The first detent ring is in an intermeshing arrangement when the second detent ring in a first rotational position and in a non-intermeshing arrangement when in a second rotational position. In the second rotational position a first stop surface fixed relative to the carrier base is in engagement with a stop fixed relative to the support arm.
CONNECTOR ARRANGEMENT FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE REAR-VIEW MIRROR
A connector arrangement for a motor vehicle rear-view mirror includes a bayonet type connector, a mirror head support, and a fixing member. The bayonet type connector includes a coupling member having a first portion, and a base bracket having a second portion and adapted to attach to the motor vehicle. The mirror head support is mounted to the base bracket. The coupling member is engaged to the mirror head support and the base bracket. The fixing member is located in the first and second portions, and is adapted to be inserted into the second portion from the first portion and towards the base bracket. Insertion of the fixing member prevents rotation of the coupling member with respect to the base bracket and about a center axis.
