Vehicular rearview mirror device
A vehicular rearview mirror device includes a housing, a mirror, a camshaft, a fixed part, and a drive part. As the camshaft is rotated by a driving force transmitted from the drive part, and moves toward the fixed part by the action of a cam, a movable part including the housing, the mirror, and the drive part as a whole tilts. The drive part includes a drive source, and a gear train transmitting the driving force of the drive source to the camshaft. The gear train includes a first gear disposed to the camshaft, and a second gear that elastically meshes with the first gear.
Inner rear-view device for vehicle
The present invention provides an inner rear-view device for a vehicle that includes a stay, a pivot, a bracket, a housing, a knob, a rear-view unit, a switching mechanism, a fixed engagement section, an elastically-engaged section, an elastically-deformed section, and a suppressing section. The inner rear-view device for the vehicle can adjust angles of a screen and the like and prevent movement of a knob at the time of angle adjustment of the screen and the like even when pivot torque is increased by a magnitude that corresponds to an increase in masses of the housing and the like.
VEHICLE INTERIOR REARVIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY WITH ACTUATOR
An interior rearview mirror assembly includes a mounting structure configured for mounting at an interior portion of a vehicle. A distal end portion of the mounting arm is at an angle relative to a proximal end portion of the mounting arm at the interior portion of the vehicle. An attaching element is fixedly disposed at the distal end portion. A mirror housing includes an aperture, and the mounting arm of the mounting structure passes through the aperture without making contact with the mirror housing. A reflective element is attached at an attachment plate disposed within the mirror housing. A motorized actuator is mounted at the attachment plate at the reflective element or at the attaching element at the distal end portion of the mounting arm. The motorized actuator is electrically operable to adjust the reflective element and the mirror housing together and in tandem relative to the mounting structure.
METHOD OF ASSEMBLING A MIRROR HEAD FOR A VEHICULAR INTERIOR REARVIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY
A method of assembling a mirror head for an interior rearview mirror assembly for a vehicle includes providing a mirror casing, a prismatic reflective element at the mirror casing, and a toggle mechanism. A pivot mount of the toggle mechanism is inserted into an upper or lower receiving portion of the mirror casing, and a body portion of the toggle mechanism is separated from a toggle lever of the toggle mechanism via breaking a frangible portion of the toggle mechanism. After breaking the frangible portion of the toggle mechanism, a second pivot mount of the toggle mechanism is inserted into the lower or upper receiving portion of the mirror casing, whereby corresponding engaging surfaces of the body portion and the toggle lever engage one another such that, when the toggle lever pivots relative to the lower receiving portion of the mirror casing, the mirror casing pivots relative to the body portion.
Rearview mirror assembly for vehicle
A vehicular interior rearview mirror assembly includes a prismatic mirror reflective element having a glass substrate with a planar front surface and a circumferential edge along the periphery of the glass substrate. A plastic molding is circumferentially disposed about the circumferential edge of the glass substrate without overlapping onto the front surface of the glass substrate, with an outermost part of the plastic molding providing a curved transition between the planar front surface of the prismatic mirror reflective element and another part of the plastic molding. The outermost part of the plastic molding includes an outer curved surface and lacks an exposed sharp edge. The plastic molding includes a portion of a mirror housing of the interior rearview mirror assembly. A mounting structure is configured to mount the vehicular interior rearview mirror assembly at an interior portion of the equipped vehicle.
Vehicle interior rearview mirror assembly with actuator
An interior rearview mirror assembly for a vehicle includes a reflective element disposed at a housing. The housing and the reflective element are tandemly and pivotally adjustable about a mounting structure mounted at an interior portion of the vehicle to provide a desired rearward field of view to a driver of the vehicle. A user input is actuatable by the driver of the vehicle. A motorized actuator is operable responsive to actuation of the user input to tilt the reflective element and the housing in tandem about a horizontal axis. Responsive to actuation of the motorized actuator responsive to the user input, the motorized actuator tandemly tilts the reflective element and the housing about the horizontal axis to orientate an outermost front surface of the reflective element more towards the driver or more away from the driver.
DISPLAY INSIDE MIRROR OF VEHICLE
A display inside mirror includes a housing configured to be secured to a windshield glass, the housing having an opening formed therein, a mirror part disposed in the opening, a display unit disposed so as to face the mirror part, a control unit disposed adjacent to the display unit so as to control the transmission of a display image, a tilting lever disposed at one end of the housing so as to tilt the mirror part, and a switch unit disposed at the tilting lever so as to allow the power from the control unit to be selectively applied to the display unit.
FRAMELESS INTERIOR REARVIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY
A vehicular interior rearview mirror assembly includes a mounting portion, a mirror casing and a mirror reflective element. The reflective element includes a glass substrate having a planar front surface, a planar rear surface and a circumferential perimeter edge around a periphery of the glass substrate that extends across a thickness dimension separating the planar front surface from the planar rear surface. A front perimeter edge portion of the circumferential perimeter edge includes a rounded glass surface circumferentially around the periphery of the glass substrate, with the rounded glass surface at least partially spanning the thickness dimension of the glass substrate. The rounded glass surface has a radius of curvature of at least 2.5 mm. The planar rear surface of the glass substrate is coated with a coating. No portion of the mirror casing overlaps onto the rounded glass surface of the glass substrate.
Eye tracking-based display control system
An eye tracking-based display control system includes a main body accommodating a mirror; a first image capture device disposed on the main body and facing a first direction to capture a first image; a controller receiving and processing the first image; and a transparency controllable film disposed on an opposite side of the mirror against the main body. In response to a determination that a light source on the first image has brightness higher than a predetermined threshold, and a determination that a shift distance of eyes between an eye position and an initial position of a driver is not zero, the controller calibrates an original position of the light source according to the shift distance of the eyes and an initial coordinate system, thereby obtaining a calibrated position, according to which transparency of a local region of the transparency controllable film corresponding to the light source is changed.
Interior rearview mirror assembly
An interior rearview mirror assembly for a vehicle includes a mirror reflective element, a mirror support element having at least one attachment surface at which the mirror reflective element is adhesively attached, and a mounting assembly having a mirror mount and a mounting arm that is pivotally attached at the mirror support element. The mirror mount includes a plastic structure with a metallic clip attached thereat. The metallic clip is configured to slide onto a mirror mounting button adhesively attached at a vehicle windshield. The metallic clip includes a stop tab at one end to limit sliding movement of the metallic clip onto the mirror mounting button and anti-backout tabs at another end to limit movement of the metallic clip at the mirror mounting button in the opposite direction, so as to retain the metallic clip and the mirror mount at the mirror mounting button without use of a fastener.
