BRAKE MECHANISM AND FISHING REEL HAVING THE SAME
A brake mechanism is provided for braking rotation of a rotary member in a spinning reel or a baitcasting reel. The brake mechanism includes a frame unit, an actuating member, a biasing member, a plurality of actuated members, and a plurality of brake pieces. The actuating member is biased by the biasing member to an outer position. In response to movement of the actuating member to an Inner position from the outer position, the actuated members are moved radially and outwardly to permit the brake pieces to be brought into frictional engagement with the rotary member to thereby brake the rotation of the rotary member.

FISHING TOOL
A fishing tool according to an embodiment of the present disclosure comprises an operating part that is operable by a user to change a setting related to a characteristic of the fishing tool, and a control part that controls the characteristic of the fishing tool, and is capable of receiving an operation by the operating part and changing the setting related to the characteristic of the fishing tool. The change in the setting related to the characteristic of the fishing tool is performed using a plurality of setting values for the setting, and based on whether a previous change in the setting related to the characteristic of the fishing tool is a change in the setting in a first direction or a change in the setting in a second direction, the control part receives a next operation of the operating part and changes a setting value of the setting.

Dual-bearing reel
A dual-bearing reel includes a first reel body, a second reel body, a spool, a brake mechanism, a regulating member, an operating lever and a nut member. The brake mechanism brakes rotation of the spool. The regulating member is attached to the first reel body. The regulating member regulates a braking force to be applied by the brake mechanism. The regulating member has a tubular shape. The regulating member includes a screw part and a flange part. The screw part is provided on the outer peripheral surface of the regulating member. The flange part extends outward from the outer peripheral surface in a radial direction. The operating lever is attached to the regulating member, and is disposed between the flange part and the first reel body. The nut member is disposed between the operating lever and the first reel body, and is screwed onto the screw part.

Fishing reel with improved line management and control system and clicker mechanism
A fishing reel designed to minimize line snag and simplify clicker operation. A frame mounted spool includes a forward flange defining a circumferential groove for receiving a smooth surfaced ring that is loosely mounted therein for minimizing line interaction. A spinner head assembly has pin arms that are pivotally secured to a rearward face. The pin arms present a substantially smooth rear surface for minimizing line snags. Pin springs are mounted on the opposite face of spinner head member and communicate with the pin arms via pin arm posts that extend through openings. An enclosure is affixed to the forward face of the spinner head for permitting the pin springs to have freedom of movement, but for enclosing pin springs and posts to prevent interaction with fishing line. A dual clicker passes through the frame for engaging the spool and the drag adjusting wheel.

Fishing reel
An object of the present invention is to provide a fishing reel configured to suppress formation of a dead space on the outer circumferential side of an anti-reverse device and thus reduced in size. The fishing reel includes a reel body, a drive shaft caused to rotate by an operation of a handle, an anti-reverse device interposed between the reel body and the drive shaft, and a cylinder-shaped cylindrical member disposed on an outer circumferential side of the anti-reverse device. A switching control member of the anti-reverse device and the cylindrical member are engaged with each other, and a swiveling operation of the cylindrical member causes the drive shaft to switch to an anti-reverse state or a reversible state.
