The first pillar includes a first wall and a second wall coupled to the first wall. The first pillar also includes a first portion and a second portion. The first portion includes a first interior support coupled to the first wall and a second interior support coupled to the second wall. Further, the first interior support includes a first end which is spaced from a second end in the second portion.
Umbrella holder for vehicles
An umbrella holder including a holder assembly, an arm assembly and a vehicle assembly is disclosed. The holder assembly includes an arm slot that extends the length of the holder. Mounted within the arm slot is an arm from the arm assembly. The arm swivels within the arm slot to permit desired positioning thereof. The arm includes a channel that houses a retractable arm within. The retractable arm extends and retracts from the channel. The retractable arm includes a claw mounted to a distal end thereof. The claw opens and closes to grip an umbrella in an open configuration. The umbrella provides cover to either of the front or rear door entrances of the vehicle. Thereby allowing a user to load items into the vehicle, while being covered and protected by the open umbrella from weather elements. The user is protected even while both hands are preoccupied by other items.
CAMERA ASSEMBLY FOR A FACIAL RECOGNITION SYSTEM OF A MOTOR VEHICLE
A camera assembly is provided for a facial recognition system of a motor vehicle. The camera assembly includes a cosmetic panel adapted to be attached to the motor vehicle. The cosmetic panel has an outboard side and an inboard side facing the motor vehicle. The cosmetic panel is opaque to visible light and transmissive to an infrared light. The camera assembly further includes a single infrared camera adapted to be disposed adjacent to the inboard side of the cosmetic panel. The single infrared camera generates an image signal, in response to the single infrared camera receiving the infrared light transmitted through cosmetic panel.
MODULAR BATTERY HOUSING FOR MOUNTING BATTERY MODULES TO ONE OF A PLURALITY OF ELECTRIC VEHICLES
A modular battery housing is provided for mounting at least one of a plurality of battery modules to an electric vehicle. Each of the battery modules includes a battery module case and one or more battery cells disposed within the battery module case. The modular battery housing includes a frame coupleable to the electric vehicle. The frame includes a pair of rails spaced apart from one another and a plurality of cross members coupleable to the rails. The modular battery housing further includes one or more battery pack enclosures separate from and coupleable to the frame. Each of the battery pack enclosures defines a chamber for sealingly containing at least one of the battery modules, and each of the battery pack enclosures being separate from the battery module case.
IN-CABIN MONITORING SYSTEM AND IN-CABIN DETECTION METHOD
An in-cabin monitoring system includes a camera which captures an image of an inside of a cabin of a vehicle, a light source which irradiates the inside of the cabin with light, and a controller which controls the camera and the light source. The light source is capable of emitting first light which is light to be emitted when checking whether a person is present using the camera and second light which is stronger than the first light. The controller captures an image of the inside of the cabin using the camera while causing the light source to emit the second light, before the person gets in the vehicle and after the person gets out of the vehicle.
