A fixing assembly has a support element adapted to be fixed to a component of a vehicle, and a frame adapted to support an accessory in a fixed relative position and connected to the support element in a fixed position; the support element has two openings which are engaged by respective protruding pins of the frame so as to allow a rotation of the frame towards the support element during a mounting step in which the protruding pins are inserted in the openings; a snap fitting prevents the displacement of the frame at the end of the aforementioned rotation, and then blocking devices, of the screw type, secure the frame in a stable position; the snap fitting has an elastically deformable element which is snap-fitted to a retention shoulder and forms part of a portion made of polymeric or elastomeric material of one between the support element and the frame.

VEHICLE MONITOR APPARATUS

A vehicle monitor apparatus including a mounting portion mounted on a ceiling surface in a vehicle cabin, a monitor portion including a base supported by the mounting portion, a light guide extending along a periphery of the base, and a spacer interposed between the base and the ceiling surface. The spacer is disposed inside a first area surrounded by the light guide and outside a second area in which the mounting portion is disposed, and composed of an elastic body elastically deformed by a compression force from the ceiling surface when the base is mounted on the ceiling surface through the mounting portion.

An in-module media assembly includes a display screen, a mounting bracket assembly and an electronic control module. The display has an interior-facing side and a non-interior facing side. The mounting bracket assembly is mounted to the non-interior facing side of the display screen. The mounting bracket assembly includes a mounting bracket and a shelf. The mounting bracket has a first longitudinally extending support member and a second longitudinally extending support member. The shelf is connected to the first and second longitudinally extending support members. The shelf includes first and second engagement members. The first engagement member engages the first longitudinally extending support member and the second engagement member engages the second longitudinally extending support member. The first and second engagement members prevent forward movement of the shelf with respect to the mounting bracket. The electronic control module is mounted to the shelf.

Glass fastening and sealing systems

A glass fastening system includes a glass portion, a support structure defining a recess, a first adhesive layer disposed on an exterior surface of the glass portion facing the recess in the support structure, a second adhesive layer disposed within the recess of the support structure, and a fastener having a first portion secured to the first adhesive layer and a second portion extending away from the first portion and into the second adhesive layer to secure the glass portion to the support structure.

PUSH-IN NUT LIGHTING ASSEMBLY

A housing for a circuit includes a top wall that defines an aperture configured for receiving a fastener, and a bottom wall integrally formed with the top wall, positioned directly below the aperture in a height direction, and extended across the aperture with respect to the height direction. The circuit is mounted on a bottom side of the bottom wall. The top wall and the bottom wall define an interior of the housing, and cooperate to obstruct egress of debris from the interior of the housing to the circuit at the bottom side of the bottom wall.

Fastening system with a load rail and a load slide, in particular for a pick-up truck

A fastening system for fastening loads on vehicles includes a load slide arranged on and movable on a load rail along an extension direction. The load slide includes a fastening device for fastening a securing element and is lockable at different travel positions on the load rail. On the outside of the load rail a plurality of locking recesses are formed along the extension direction. The load slide includes a rotatably mounted cam, which is rigidly connected to an actuating element and which can be rotated with the actuating element between a locked position and an unlocked position. In the locked position, the cam can engage with one of the locking recesses and thus lock the travel position of the load slide. In the unlocked position, the cam is disengaged with respect to the locking recesses and the load slide can thus be moved on the load rail.

Universal mounting system for tablet-controlled stereo head unit

A hardware system and method for mounting a tablet computing device in a vehicle dash. The invention makes use of an inventory of prior art mounting kits that are configured to mount standardized aftermarket stereo head units in a vehicle dash while smoothly blending the aftermarket head unit into the surrounding dash to create a finished appearance.

Mounting arrangement and method of installing an audio unit in a vehicle dashboard

A vehicle dashboard assembly includes a dashboard defining a component opening and a slot in the component opening, the slot having a first slot portion, a second slot portion extending from the first slot portion, and a third slot portion extending from the second slot portion and higher than the first slot portion. The assembly further includes a component configured to be received in the component opening, and at least one bracket coupled to the component and comprising a projection extending from a side of the bracket and configured to be received in the slot.

An arrangement for a sensor having a sensor-active surface on or behind an outer add-on part of a vehicle includes a sensor guide. The sensor guide is connected to the sensor and a first structural element of the vehicle such that the sensor moves in a vehicle longitudinal direction away from a sensor use position in response to an application of force against the sensor-active surface or the add-on part of the vehicle. The arrangement includes a spacer that limits the movement of the sensor to a maximum distance defined between the sensor use position and a second structural element of the vehicle, which is offset with respect to the first structural element in a direction along an interior of the vehicle. The arrangement includes a restoring element that moves the sensor back to the sensor use position.
