Disclosed is a rear camera module for a vehicle. The disclosed rear camera module includes a module cover mounted to a rear side of the vehicle such that a rotational shaft of a rear wiper is rotatably coupled to the module cover and a rear camera module installed at the module cover to photograph a rear-view image of the vehicle. The rear camera module can be easily and conveniently installed at the rear side of the vehicle.

COLLAPSIBLE ROTATION MECHANISM FOR A VEHICLE DISPLAY

The technology disclosed herein enables a rotation mechanism for a vehicle display to collapse when a force (e.g., from an impact) is applied to the display. In a particular example, an apparatus includes a motor shaft, wherein a motor rotates the motor shaft to rotate the display. The apparatus further includes a flange positioned to overlap with the motor shaft, wherein the display is connected to the flange. Also included are one or more fasteners positioned to connect the motor shaft to the flange. The dimension and material of the fasteners enable the fasteners to fail when a specified shear force is applied to the fasteners by the flange and the motor shaft. Failure of the fasteners enables the flange to move to overlap further with the motor shaft.

A vehicle interior component includes a base member fixed to a structural member, and a panel member attached to a vehicle compartment inner side of the base member so that its outer peripheral portion is pressed to a lining member from the vehicle compartment inner side. The panel member includes a panel protrusion protruding on a vehicle compartment outer side in the peripheral part of its outer peripheral edge, and the panel protrusion has an insertion hole into which a lock portion formed in the base member or a base fixing member fixed to the base member is inserted, and an auxiliary claw protruding on an outer peripheral edge side. The auxiliary claw engages with the base member to prevent the displacement of the panel protrusion to the vehicle compartment inner side when the outer peripheral portion of the panel member receives a load from the lining member.

Versatile instrument panel storage

A vehicle dash panel storage compartment includes a storage compartment including at least a top, a bottom, and sides defining a storage slot, and a pivoting mechanism configured to translate the storage compartment between a stowed configuration within an interior of a housing of the instrument panel and a variety of deployed configurations. Optionally, the top may be hingedly connected to the storage compartment. The pivoting mechanism may include at least one strut pivotally connected at a first end to a support and at a second end to the storage compartment.
