VEHICLE BICYCLE CARRIER WITH ROTATING POST
A trailer hitch mounted vehicle bike carrier with bicycle wheel supporting trays that may be configured to hold the bicycle at various locations of the bike's frame or seat post with a clamp. The clamp may be slidably attached to a U-shaped clamping frame that may be located between the bikes, wherein the clamping frame may be of round tubing parallel to the rear of the vehicle. When the bikes are not mounted for transport, the clamping frame is configured to rotate about 90 degrees so that it may be perpendicular to the rear of the vehicle and fold down so as to be resting on or above the bike carrier's wheel trays. The bike carrier may then be deployed to a stowed position against the rear of the vehicle.
Support rack
A cargo and storage rack for increasing the carrying capacity of a vehicle having a spare tire mount on the exterior of the vehicle. Retaining features of a mounting boss engage the retainment features of the spare tire to the spare tire mount. The mounting boss is adapted to receive storage brackets above or below or both of above and below the mounting boss, to secure cargo securing features at desired distances of engagement from the boss. Rails of any bracket secured to the boss provide support for alternately translating and selectably locatable cargo supporting features, such that the rack can secure cargo without a bracket that provides its own securing features. Optionally, the rack can support cargo with any combination of selectably locatable cargo supporting features on the rails and a bracket, and the rack comprises methods of construction and customization that facilitate rapid reconstruction of the rack and removal from the vehicle.
SLEEPING COT FOR A VEHICLE
A sleeping cot has been disclosed herein. The sleeping cot may be partially installed in a front cabin of vehicles and deployed when needed. The sleeping cot includes metallic rods and a flexible mat that is removably attached to the metallic rods. The sleeping cot unit may further include front brackets attached to or adjacent the A-pillars of the vehicle and rear brackets attached to or adjacent the B-pillars of the vehicle. Further, one metallic rod is removably attached to the front brackets, and another metallic rod is removably attached to the rear brackets. Further, the flexible mat can be made firm by rotating one of the metallic rods within the brackets tightening the fabric mat wrapped around it. Further, the rotation and position of the metallic rod can be temporarily secured within the brackets to retain a firm mat.
System and process for viewing in blind spots
There is disclosed a viewing system coupled to a motor vehicle having a frame having a roof, at least one support, and a body with the at least one support supporting the roof over the body. The system can comprise at least one camera, at least one screen coupled to the support. In addition, each camera is coupled to the at least one support and wherein said at least one screen is in communication with the first set of cameras, wherein said at least one screen displays images presented by the first set of cameras. This device can provide additional view in the blind spot of the vehicle.
Hanger devices and hanging systems for use in a vehicle
Hangers, hanger devices, and hanging system are described in the present disclosure for hanging user objects within an interior of a vehicle and for supporting the objects, such as, for example, to prevent the objects from being unrestrained and flying through the air in the event of an accident. In one embodiment, a hanger device includes a shaft element including a shank and a screw component. The screw component has a spiral thread that is adapted to be secured within a threaded bore. The hanger device further includes an annular ring arranged around an outer surface of the shank and a head component attached to an end of the shank. Also, a loop of a flexible material may be adapted to extend from the annular ring.
Spare Tire Carrier
A spare tire carrier has a base tube. A first side plate and second side plate are attached to the base tube. A first pin is disposed between the first side plate and second side plate. A support tube is configured to pivot around the first pin. A tire support bracket is attached to the support tube. A retainer bolt is attached to the support tube above the tire support bracket.
Slidable operator-display support
A mounting arrangement includes a first bracket, a second bracket including a slot, and a series of washers, with two resilient washers. First and second bolts extend through the first bracket, a first and second of the washers, the slot of the second bracket, a third and fourth of the washers, the resilient washers, and a fifth and sixth of the washers. The second bracket frictionally engages the first and second washers, and frictionally engages the third and fourth washers. The resilient washers are each located between the respective first, second, third and fourth washers, and the fifth and sixth washers. The bolts are engaged by nuts compressing the first and second resilient washers with a compressive force between the washers, supporting the first bracket and the second bracket relative to each other and permitting the first bracket and the second bracket to slide relative to each other.
Mounting assembly
Mounting a device to a horizontal surface of a transport vehicle is achieved by connecting a latch post assembly to the horizontal surface and a receiver assembly to the device. The latch post assembly and the receiver assembly may then be mated together creating multiple zones of frictional contact and positive retention force preventing inadvertent decoupling of the latch post assembly and the receiver assembly.
Vehicle Vent Clip Mount
A vent clip mount secures a mobile device with respect to louvres of a vehicle air vent and has a twist key with a head having a long dimension oriented transverse to the louvres. An intermediate plate and a pad are carried by the shaft and selectively displaceable along the shaft towards the head of the twist key. The pad is compressible and capable of having an induced indentation therein via the louvres in the tight position.
