Lining part and method for producing a lining part
A lining part, in particular for the interior of a motor vehicle, has a base body which is formed of a wood material. Slip-prevention elements which have a higher adhesion force than the surface of the base body are located on the surface of the base body.
Ice and snow retention system for vehicles
A system for minimizing movement of ice or snow along a surface of a vehicle. The system can include a plurality of stops configured to be mounted to the surface in a spaced apart manner, the surface comprising at least one of a roof, a trunk, or a hood of the vehicle. Each stop may include a base for mounting to the vehicle and a fin extending upwardly from the base, the fin having a substantially upright edge to at least partially define an abutment plane configured to face toward a center of the surface and limit motion of ice or snow remaining on the surface.
Airbag arrangement for a closeable or openable roof opening of a motor vehicle
An airbag arrangement for closeable or openable roof opening 2 of a motor vehicle has a gas cushion arrangement which is to be anchored to the vehicle roof 1 and which is suitable in the inflated state for covering the surface of the roof opening 2, wherein the gas cushion arrangement has two inflatable gas cushions 3, 4 which are suitable in the non-inflated state for being arranged along lateral inside edges 5, 6 of the roof opening 2, that extend in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle.
Vehicle vision system with camera and mirror mount
A vehicle mirror and camera mounting system includes a camera mounting bracket that includes an injection molded bracket formed by injection molding a polymeric molding resin. A camera, when its camera module is attached at the camera mounting bracket at the vehicle windshield, has a field of view through the vehicle windshield. The camera mounting bracket includes a mirror attachment portion configured for attaching an interior rearview mirror assembly thereat. At least one cover element is attached at (i) the camera mounting bracket, (ii) the camera module and/or (iii) the mirror mount so that the camera module and the camera mounting bracket are not readily viewable to a person viewing the construction from inside the vehicle. The mirror mount includes an electrical connector for electrical connection to (i) a connector at the camera module or (ii) a wire harness of the vehicle, with the connection hidden from view.
Accessory system for a vehicle
An accessory system for a vehicle includes a bracket having a windshield-facing side and a cabin-facing side. The windshield-facing side of the bracket is configured to be bonded by an adhesive at a first windshield location to an in-cabin surface of the vehicle windshield. The cabin-facing side of the bracket includes first structure. An accessory module is configured to mount to the bracket. A housing of the accessory module has second structure that directly engages the first structure of the bracket when mounting the housing to the bracket. An electronic device and circuitry are housed by the housing. With the accessory module mounted to the bracket attached to the vehicle windshield, the circuitry may be in communication with a vehicle bus system of the vehicle.
Vehicle camera system and method of operating the same
A camera system for a vehicle includes a camera having a housing defining an interior space, a memory device in the interior space, a processor in the interior space coupled to the memory device, a lens exposed on an exterior of the housing, an image sensor in the interior space coupled to the memory device, and a sensor coupled to the processor. The camera system also includes an attachment mechanism configured to secure the camera system to the vehicle. The camera is configured to move between a closed position and an open position. The memory device includes instructions configured to cause the processor to determine the camera is in the open position in response to an output signal by the sensor, and to cause the camera system to record the video captured by the image sensor in response to the camera being in the open position.
Fixed Angle Car Mount for a Mobile Device
A mount for a mobile device on a fixed feature of an automobile. A platform has a device side attachment surface. The housing also has an attachment extension to couple to the fixed feature such that the device side attachment surface has a permanently fixed orientation relative to the attachment extension. A wireless charger may be coupled to the platform and a first arrangement of magnetic material. The magnetic material exposes a pattern of magnetic fields at the device side attachment surface. The attachment extension maintains the surface at a fixed angle relative to the feature to which it is attached.
Camera module having a lens assembly with at least one flange projecting therefrom and assembling method
The camera module includes a housing having an interior space with an inner surface, a lens assembly comprising a lens body within the interior space defining an optical axis, an electronics carrier, an image sensor on the electronics carrier in optical communication with the lens assembly, at least one positioning element projecting longitudinally along the optical axis towards the electronics carrier for attaching the lens assembly and the electronics carrier to each other with a constant predetermined gap there between with the image sensor optically aligned with the lens assembly, and at least one flange projecting radially perpendicular to the optical axis that can be attached to the inner surface of the housing.
DISPLAY PANEL ATTACHMENT ARRANGEMENTS FOR VEHICLES, AND METHODS OF DETERMINING THE POSITION OF A DISPLAY PANEL
A method by which the position of a display panel or of a vehicle can be determined by broadcasting a message from a beacon associated with the display panel or the vehicle, receiving the broadcast message at a consumer device, determining the position of the consumer device when the message is received, and taking that position to be the position of the display panel or of the vehicle. If this is done with multiple messages and/or multiple consumer devices the position of the display panel or of the vehicle can be determined as a function of time.
CAMERA MODULE AND ASSEMBLING METHOD
The camera module comprises a housing having an interior space with an inner surface, a lens assembly comprising a lens body within the interior space defining an optical axis (O), an electronics carrier, an image sensor on the electronics carrier in optical communication with the lens assembly, a positioning element projecting longitudinally along the optical axis (O) towards the electronics carrier for attaching the lens assembly and the electronics carrier to each other. The camera module further comprises a heater element, and a flange projecting radially perpendicular to the optical axis (O). The heater element is for the purpose of resistive heating of the lens body, the heater element comprising a sheet material with electrical resistance arranged at least partially surrounding the lens body wrapping an outer side surface thereof for removing any water-based obstructions that may be attached to the lens body as an electric current flows there through.
