Hollow member

Energy absorption at the time of load input is improved with high mass efficiency. A hollow member includes: a hollow metal member having a bending induction portion in a portion thereof in a longitudinal direction; and a resin material which is disposed in close contact with the metal member on both sides of the bending induction portion in the longitudinal direction, and is disposed in at least a part of a range of less than ⅚ of a cross-sectional height of the metal member from an end portion of the bending induction portion toward an outside in the longitudinal, in which an amount of the resin material per length in the longitudinal direction is larger on the outside of the bending induction portion than on an inside of the bending induction portion.

LOWER BUMPER REINFORCEMENT AND VEHICLE

A vehicle includes a body. The vehicle includes a front bumper reinforcement that is attached to a front end of the body, and extends along a vehicle width direction. The vehicle includes a lower bumper reinforcement that is attached to the front end of the body, is located under the front bumper reinforcement, and extends along the vehicle width direction. The vehicle includes at least one specific member that is fixed to a partial section of the lower bumper reinforcement along an extending direction of the lower bumper reinforcement. Each of the at least one specific member includes a first portion that covers a front face of the lower bumper reinforcement, and a second portion that protrudes more upward than an upper face of the lower bumper reinforcement.

An assembly for a vehicle comprising a crash box configured as a hollow-chamber profile and a connection panel with means for connecting the crash box on the vehicle side approximately on a longitudinal carrier of a vehicle. The connection panel has at least one connecting tab projecting in the direction of the crash box and integrally connected to the crash box. The at least one connecting tab engages into the hollow-chamber of the crash box and is connected on the inside to a wall of the hollow-chamber profile by the flat side, and, in the region where a connecting tab of this type is attached to the hollow-chamber profile, the side wall has an embossing pointing into the inside of the hollow profile, with the connecting tab being connected to same at the top by the flat side.

Structural member for vehicle

A structural member for a vehicle includes bumper stays having a tubular configuration and fixed to each of front ends of a pair of front side members included in a vehicle, and a tubular bumper beam provided with holes and into which the bumper stay is inserted. Each of the bumper stays includes a first shock absorbing portion and a second shock absorbing portion provided adjacent to the first shock absorbing portion on an outer side.

Load absorbing member and vehicle load absorbing structure

In a crash box, a first extending portion extends from a front end of a first body upper portion in a vehicle front-rear direction of a first body portion, and a second extending portion extends from a front end of a second body lower portion in a vehicle front-rear direction of a second body portion. When an impact load is transmitted to the front ends of the first body portion and the second body portion in the vehicle front-rear direction, a rotation moment toward the lower side of the vehicle acts on the first extending portion and a rotation moment toward the upper side of the vehicle acts on the second extending portion. This can suppress peeling between first and second left side bonded portions and between first and second right side bonded portions of the first body portion and the second body portion.
