Vehicle side airbag device and occupant protection device
A vehicle side airbag device including an inflator, a side airbag, and a duct is installed at a side section on a vehicle width direction outer side of a seatback of a vehicle seat configured to restrain an occupant using a three-point seatbelt. The side airbag receives a supply of gas from the inflator in a vehicle side-on collision. As a result, a waist chamber is inflated and deployed from a lower portion of the side section toward a side of a waist of the occupant, and a head chamber is inflated and deployed from an upper face side of the side section toward a side of a head of the occupant. The duct extends along a vertical direction of the side airbag inside the side airbag, and is configured to guide gas from the inflator into the waist chamber and into the head chamber.
AIRBAG MODULE WITH INVERTED SEAM AND FOLDING TAB
An airbag module according to various implementations includes an inflatable cushion, a folding tab, and an inflator. The inflatable cushion includes a first panel and a second panel, each of the first and second panels including an inner surface and an outer surface. When the outer surfaces of the first and second panels are coupled together to form an inverted seam, the folding tab is coupled between the respective outer surfaces of the first and second panels. As a result, the inflatable cushion includes an increased strength while maintaining an ease of assembly using current inflatable cushion folding machines.
Inflatable devices between vehicle seat and vehicle doors
An assembly for a vehicle includes a vehicle floor. The assembly includes a pair of vehicle doors spaced cross-vehicle from each other. The vehicle floor is between the vehicle doors. The assembly includes a vehicle seat between the vehicle doors and having a seat bottom supported by the vehicle floor. The assembly includes a pair of inflatable devices that are thermoplastic elastomer and inflatable to inflated positions. The pair of inflatable devices are supported by the vehicle floor and spaced from each other. One of the inflatable devices is between the seat bottom and one of the vehicle doors in the inflated position and the other of the inflatable devices is between the seat bottom and the other of the vehicle doors in the inflated position. The seat bottom is elongated from one of the inflatable devices to the other of the inflatable devices.

AIRBAG DEVICE AND VEHICLE SEAT
An airbag device includes a seat frame that forms a skeleton of a vehicle seat on which an occupant of a vehicle sits; an airbag that is disposed on a backrest portion that supports a back of the occupant in the vehicle seat and that is deployed by supply of gas; and a gas generator that is disposed at a seating surface portion that supports buttocks of the occupant in the vehicle seat and that generates gas to be supplied to the airbag; where a part that is a portion of the seat frame and includes at least a portion of a back frame forming a skeleton of the backrest portion, is formed as a flow tube that connects to the airbag to supply gas generated by the gas generator to the airbag.

SEAT BACKREST COMPRISING AN OUTER AIRBAG MODULE
A seat backrest having a frame and a cover extending around at least part of the frame, the cover defining at least part of the outer surface of the backrest. The seat backrest includes an airbag module, having a housing receiving an airbag, that is attached to the frame in an attachment area. At least in the attachment area, the cover is in direct contact with the frame and extends between the frame and the housing of the airbag module. The housing is attached to the frame through the cover and extends entirely to the side of the outer surface of the backrest.

VEHICLE SEAT
In a vehicle seat, a side frame of a seat back frame has a front wall that is formed so as to be bent inward continuously from a front edge of a plate-shaped portion and forms a curved region extending vertically from around the rotating shaft and reaching an upper frame, and a rear wall that is formed so as to be bent inward continuously from a rear edge of the plate-shaped portion and forms a curved region extending vertically from around the rotating shaft and reaching the upper frame, and an inner edge of the front wall has a projecting piece that spreads to the inside from a virtual outline corresponding to a shape of the upper frame and is superimposed on the front wall of the upper frame from the rear. This provides a vehicle seat that can contribute to improvement of the work efficiency when assembling a seat back frame.
SIDE AIRBAG DEVICE
An airbag cushion including a cushion rear portion on the inner side of a frame side plate part, a cushion folded portion folded to the outer side of the frame side plate part, and a cushion front portion on the outer side of the frame side plate part. A cover enveloping portion of a cover member has a first end portion engaged with the cushion rear portion and a second end portion that covers a front surface of the cushion folded portion to the cushion front portion and is engaged with a back surface of the cushion folded portion. A cover extension portion connected to the cover enveloping portion by a joint portion and is engaged with the frame side plate part. The cover enveloping portion or the cover extension portion is provided with a weak portion (breakable).
