SAFETY AIRBAG DEVICE
A safety airbag device, including a safety airbag having an inflated state and a stowed state, a gas generator, used to generate gas to inflate the safety airbag so that the safety airbag enters the inflated state; and a deflector, used to guide the gas generated by the gas generator before the gas generated by the gas generator enters the safety airbag. The deflector includes a first cavity and a second cavity. The first cavity includes a first gas inlet and a first gas outlet. The second cavity includes a second gas inlet and a second gas outlet. The first gas outlet and the second gas inlet are in fluid communication with each other.

SADDLE RIDING-TYPE VEHICLE
A saddle riding-type vehicle includes a retainer that is provided behind a head pipe; an inflator; and an airbag that is housed in the retainer, inflates by gas discharged by the inflator, and is deployed in front of an occupant. The airbag includes a proximal end portion that is positioned in the retainer when the airbag is deployed and an outward deployment portion that extends from the proximal end portion and is deployed to the outside of the retainer when the airbag is deployed. A tab is provided on the proximal end portion, and the tab is fixed to the retainer.
AIRBAG APPARATUS FOR VEHICLE
An airbag apparatus for a vehicle my include an airbag housing accommodating an airbag cushion, an inflator supplying gas into the airbag cushion, a hard retainer fixing the inflator to the airbag housing, and a soft retainer having a first side coupled to the hard retainer and controlling a flow of the gas supplied from the inflator.
AIRBAG SYSTEMS FOR AUTONOMOUS VEHICLES
Aspects of the disclosure provide for airbag systems suited for autonomous vehicles. Such an airbag system may include a first chamber, a second chamber, a dual-stage inflator, an orifice blocker mechanism and a control module. The dual-stage inflator may be in fluid communication with the first chamber via a first orifice and in fluid communication with the second chamber via a second orifice. The orifice blocker mechanism may be configured to block and unblock gas flow from the second orifice to the second chamber. The control module may be configured to activate the dual-stage inflator in order to inflate one or both of the first chamber and the second chamber with gas based on a position of the orifice blocker mechanism relative to the second orifice.
GAS GENERATOR
The present invention provides a gas generator including a cylindrical housing in which an ignition device is attached at a first end portion thereof and a diffuser portion provided with a gas discharge port is attached at a second end portion thereof, an annular end surface being formed on the side of the second end portion, a cylindrical flow path forming member being disposed in the cylindrical housing, an inner space of the cylindrical flow path forming member being partitioned by a partition wall into a first chamber on the side of the first end portion and a second chamber on the side of the second end portion, a space, which includes the first chamber, being a combustion chamber filled with a gas generating agent, and the second chamber forming part of a gas discharge path, in the cylindrical flow path forming member, a first cylindrical space, which is formed between a first wall surface of the cylindrical flow path forming member on the side of the first chamber and the inner wall surface of the cylindrical housing, and a second cylindrical space, which is formed between a second wall surface of the cylindrical flow path forming member on the side of the second chamber and the inner wall surface of the cylindrical housing, being continuous in an axial direction, and the second cylindrical space being a cylindrical space with a length L from a boundary with the first cylindrical space to the annular end surface, and having an annular pocket portion with a length L1 from the annular end surface to the second communication holes, and at least part of a surface of the annular pocket portion being provided with a concave-convex portion.
INFLATOR, METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME AND MODULE INCLUDING SAID INFLATOR
An inflator as well as a method of manufacturing an inflator, a module including an inflator and an airbag module. In an inflator, especially for a protective device in a vehicle, comprising plural components a sealant is applied in the area of abutting components, especially a sealant which adheres to both abutting components.
Airbag inflators including aspirators
Airbag inflator system including a housing defining a flow passage leading into an interior of an airbag). A gas generator is arranged in connection with the housing. An activation system provides a signal to the gas generator to cause generation of gas. An aspirator is arranged between the reverse flow valve and the outlet end region and includes an inlet portion alongside the reverse flow valve and an aspiration portion partly separated from the inlet portion to define at least one opening in flow communication with the gas generator. The aspirator is preferably configured to generate gas flow in accordance with the Prandtl-Meyer effect.
Curtain Air-Bag Device
A curtain airbag device capable of preventing a cushion from damaging a front pillar trim or being caught by the front pillar trim upon deployed. A cushion 102 of a curtain airbag device 100 is inflated and deployed at a side wall of a vehicle interior to restrain an occupant. The curtain airbag device 100 includes: a cushion 102 having a bag shape and inflated and deployed on the vehicle front side of a passenger seat; and a first strap 148. The first strap 148 has one end 156 attached to a front pillar 104 and the other end 162 attached on the vehicle inner side of the cushion 102 in an elongate stored form. The first strap 148 moves to the vehicle inner side and is strained by inflation and deployment of the cushion 102 pushing out a front pillar trim 184 that covers the front pillar 104 to the vehicle inner side.
