SEATBACK-MOUNTED OVERHEAD AIRBAG
An assembly for a vehicle includes a seat having a seat bottom and a seatback supported by the seat bottom. The seat bottom and the seatback define an occupant seating area. The seat includes an airbag supported by an upper end of the seatback. The airbag is inflatable downwardly from the upper end of the seatback enclosing the occupant seating area between the airbag and the seatback. The seat includes a pyrotechnic device fixed to the seat below the airbag. The pyrotechnic device is connected to the airbag.
GAS GENERATOR
A gas generator includes an igniter assembled to one end portion of a housing, a gastight container arranged in the inside of the housing, and a coil spring interposed between the one end portion of the housing and the gastight container. The gastight container melts or bursts as a result of activation of the igniter. A gas generating agent is accommodated in the gastight container. The coil spring serves to fix the gastight container in the inside of the housing. The coil spring is arranged substantially coaxially with an ignition portion to surround the ignition portion without interposition of another member between the coil spring and the ignition portion, so as to restrict a degree of opening of a cup body included in the ignition portion of the igniter at the time of cleavage of the cup body.
Side airbag device for vehicle
In the side airbag device, in an inflation and deployment state of the side airbag, a tension cloth extendingly disposed across between a front-rear partition and a rear end of the rear bag section is stretched, thereby restricting inflation in the vehicle front-rear direction of the rear bag section. An inflating width in a vehicle width direction of the rear bag section can be increased without significantly changing a position in the vehicle front-rear direction of the front-rear partition. In a flat developed state of the side airbag, the tension cloth is extendingly disposed across between the front-rear partition so folded into two as to protrude toward the rear bag section, and the rear end of the rear bag section. Accordingly, dimensions of each component can be so defined as to cause no redundancy in the rear bag section in the flat developed state, thus compactly folding the side airbag.

Igniter assembly and molding method for holding part
An igniter assembly includes an igniter, a collar, and a holding part, a cup body having a cylindrical peripheral wall and a lid wall and a closing part defining an accommodating space with the cup body, the peripheral wall is sectioned, in an axial direction, into a contact region in contact with the closing part and a noncontact region not in contact with the closing part, the holding part includes a base part covering the contact region and a surrounding wall formed continuously to the base part and surrounding the noncontact region, and a fragile part is formed in the holding part between a first area including at least a part of the base part and a second area including a tip end of the surrounding wall, and thus the second area deforms radially outward preferentially when a load is applied to the surrounding wall by the igniter activated.
IGNITION CAPSULE FOR OCCUPANT RESTRAINT SYSTEMS
The invention relates to an ignition capsule for a gas generator of an occupant restraint system in a motor vehicle, in particular for the gas generator of an inflatable airbag, said ignition capsule comprising means for supporting extremely high pressures during ignition.

VEHICLE IMPACT ABSORBING SYSTEM
A first airbag has a first joining panel. A second airbag has a second joining panel. The first and second airbags are both inflatable from an uninflated position to an inflated position. The first and second joining panels are spaced from each other in the uninflated position. in the inflated position, the first joining panel is fixed to the second joining panel.

VEHICLE AIRBAG DEVICE
The present disclosure provides a vehicle airbag device including: an airbag that inflates and deploys due to supply of gas, that has a main body and a projection that projects in a vehicle rearward direction, and that has a gap portion, between the main body and the projection, which opens in the vehicle rearward direction; and a coupling portion that couples together a first attachment portion set at the airbag at a front end portion side of the gap portion and a second attachment portion set at a side portion of the projection, and which, when inflation and deployment of the airbag, stretches between the first attachment portion and the second attachment portion, which is positioned further in the vehicle rearward direction than the first attachment portion.
