AIRBAG MODULE, VEHICLE SEAT HAVING AN AIRBAG MODULE, AND VEHICLE
The invention relates to an airbag module (12) comprising a restraint airbag (30) which is inflated in a situation of restraint and, in an inflated state, has a restraining effect on an occupant (16), and at least one backup member (36, 36a, 36b) which, in a restraining state, is at least in portions in contact with the inflated restraint airbag (30) and is configured so that it backs the restraint airbag (30) and in particular absorbs a force (F) applied to the restraint airbag (30) by contacting a vehicle occupant (16), wherein, in the inflated state, the restraint airbag (30) is interposed between the backup member (36, 36a, 36b) and the vehicle occupant (16), wherein the backup member (36, 36a, 36b) is arranged, in an initial state, on or in the airbag module. The invention also relates to a vehicle seat and a vehicle comprising an airbag module according to the invention.
Curtain airbag, curtain airbag apparatus, and method for manufacturing curtain airbag apparatus
A curtain airbag is folded and stored in an upper portion of a vehicle body under normal circumstances, and is inflated and expanded along a side window in emergency situations. The curtain airbag includes a front chamber to be inflated and expanded along the side window of a front seat of the vehicle body; a first gas supply port to supply gas to the front chamber, the first gas supply port being disposed at an upper portion of the front chamber; a sub-chamber smaller than the front chamber and disposed above the front chamber; and a second gas supply port disposed rearward of the sub-chamber, and communicated with and narrower than the first gas supply port. The sub-chamber is stored in a state of being folded on a front surface of the front chamber on a vehicle interior side at a portion of the second gas supply port.
Vehicle airbag device and wrapping material used in vehicle airbag device
A vehicle airbag device includes: an airbag; a gas generator which supplies an inflation gas to the airbag; and a wrapping material, which covers a periphery of an airbag assembly including the airbag and the gas generator. The wrapping material includes: a combining part which is formed of a sheet material and combines both edges, which are overlapped with each other in a length direction; an engagement part which is formed in parallel with the combining part in a width direction of the sheet material and is engaged in the gas generator; and a notch portion formed between the combining part of both edges and the engagement part, wherein a position of a deepest part of the notch portion in the length direction of the sheet material is less than or equal to a depth of the combining part.
