Seat belt retractor

A seat belt system for protecting an occupant of a vehicle, the system having seat belt webbing connected to a seat belt retractor that includes (a) a frame; (b) a spool with the seat belt webbing wound around, wherein the spool is rotatably mounted to the frame and configured to rotate in a webbing extraction direction and a webbing retraction direction; (c) an energy absorbing device for absorbing energy when the spool is rotated in the webbing extraction direction after an emergency event has occurred; and (d) a mechanism for selectively cancelling the operation of the energy absorbing device by preventing motion of the spool in the webbing extraction direction.

POWER TRANSMISSION MEMBER, PRETENSIONER, RETRACTOR, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING POWER TRANSMISSION MEMBER

A power transmission member including a base resin that has a water absorption characteristic that a water absorption rate is 1% or less when Method 1 of ISO 62 (a method for measuring a weight increasing rate after being immersed in water at 23° C. for 24 hours) is used and an elastomer that imparts mechanical characteristics to the power transmission member 32a, in which as the mechanical characteristics, tensile yield stress (ISO 527) is 40 to 54 MPa, tensile fracture strain (ISO 527) is 50% or more, tensile elastic modulus (ISO 527) is 1200 to 1900 MPa, bending elastic modulus (ISO 178) is 1100 to 1700 MPa, and unnotched Charpy impact strength (ISO 179) is no fracture at −30° C. or higher.

WEBBING TAKE-UP DEVICE

In this webbing take-up device, a first straight portion is set between a first bend portion and a mounting portion of a cylinder, and an axial direction base end portion of a moving member disposed inside the cylinder is disposed inside the first straight portion. Because of this, when the axial direction base end portion of the moving member extends and contracts in the axial direction, it does not receive strong resistance from the cylinder. Because of this, the axial direction base end portion of the moving member can extend and contract in the axial direction, and extension and contraction in the axial direction on the axial direction distal end side of the moving member can be inhibited.

WEBBING TAKE-UP DEVICE

In this webbing take-up device, teeth are formed on flange portions of a rotational member that are disposed opposing each other. The teeth are provided on mutually opposing sides of the flange portions. Discharge portions are formed in the teeth on a rotational center side of the rotational member, and tooth spaces that are adjacent via the teeth are communicated with each other by the discharge portions. Because of the discharge portions, shavings can be discharged, and the shavings can be inhibited from collecting in the tooth spaces.

Webbing take-up device

A webbing take-up device is provided with a spool on which a webbing to be applied to a vehicle occupant is taken up, due to the spool rotating in a take-up direction. The webbing take-up device is also provided with a lock base and a connecting member that are integrally rotatable with the spool. The lock base and connecting member are provided with a lock base-side flange portion and a connecting member-side flange portion, which are disposed opposite to one another in a rotation axis direction of the spool, and with lock base-side second engaging teeth and connecting member-side second engaging teeth.

Webbing take-up device

A webbing take-up device is provided with a spool, a first rotor and a second rotor. A webbing to be applied to a vehicle occupant is taken up onto the spool by the spool rotating in a take-up direction. The first rotor is provided to be rotatable together with the spool, includes first engaging teeth with which a moving member that is moved engages, and is rotated when the moving member that is moved engages with the first engaging teeth. The second rotor is provided to be rotatable together with the spool, includes second engaging teeth with which the moving member that is moved engages, and is rotated when the moving member that is moved engages with the second engaging teeth. The second engaging teeth are disposed so as to overlap with the first engaging teeth in a rotation circumference direction of the first rotor.

Belt retractor having a second force limiter

The invention relates to a belt retractor comprising a frame (10), a belt reel (12) rotatably arranged within the frame, a blocking mechanism (18) by which the belt reel (12) can be blocked within the frame (10), and a load limiter (14) which is detachably coupled to the belt reel (12), characterized in that for coupling the load limiter (14) at least one load-transmitting bar (28) is used which is arranged at the belt reel (12) and is retained in a coupling position by a support ring (32), wherein the support ring (32) can be moved from a supporting position to a release position by means of an actor (70).

Seat belt retractor

A seatbelt retractor for a seat belt device in a vehicle. The retractor includes a frame and a spool configured to be fixed to one end of a seat belt webbing so that the webbing may be wound around the spool. The spool is rotatably mounted at both ends to the frame and configured to rotate in a webbing extraction direction and a webbing retraction direction. The retractor includes a staged torsion bar positioned end to end in the spool along an axis of rotation of the spool. The retractor also includes a shift assembly to shift between the stages of the staged torsion bar. The shift assembly includes a shift link locked by a shift collar and a shift ring meshed in a shift plate.

Webbing take-up device

A webbing take-up device is provided with a spool that takes up a webbing, a lock base, and a cover plate that covers an outer periphery of the lock base. A tooth portion is formed at the outer periphery of the lock base. The lock base rotates the spool when a rack contacts the tooth portion. The webbing take-up device is further provided with a guide provided at the cover plate. The guide supports the lock base to be rotatable. Thus, contacting together of the ratchet teeth and the lock base is restricted.
