Seatbelt retractor
A seatbelt retractor has: a holding plate arranged at a housing outer side and including a shaft receiving hole which rotatably supports a cylindrical shaped boss portion formed at a take-up drum side end of the driven body; and a restricting member arranged at take-up drum side of the holding plate to restrict movement of the boss portion in radial direction so that the boss portion projecting from the hole is positioned co-axial with the take-up drum. The boss portion which faces an inner peripheral surface of the hole includes a pair of radially projecting portions provided on both sides with reference to rotation axis direction projecting radially outward at full periphery of the boss portion. The pair of radially projecting portions project radially outward over the hole so at least a peripheral edge portion of the hole is inserted in clearance defined by the pair of radially projecting portions.
Seatbelt pretensioner
A seatbelt pretensioner is provided including an inner tube with a gas generator housed therein, an intermediate sleeve extending over the inner tube, and a spool portion housing the sleeve and the tube. The spool portion includes spiraling flutes thereon that correspond to a protruding member in the form of flutes or pegs extending from the intermediate sleeve. In response to the gas generator firing, the sleeve will be driven longitudinally, causing the protruding member to act on the spiraling flutes of the spool, thereby causing the spool to rotate. The intermediate sleeve can include a spiraling slot that receives a peg from the inner tube, so that the intermediate sleeve will rotate to compound the spool rotation.
Belt retractor
The invention relates to a belt retractor for a seat belt having a belt reel for winding up and unwinding the seat belt and a torsion bar which is arranged outside the belt reel and is connected at one bar end to a switchable fixing device. The switchable fixing device keeps the bar end rotationally fixed in one state and permits rotation of the bar end in another state. The switchable fixing device has a displaceable piston which, with a piston portion, in a locking position, can secure the bar end against rotation and, in a release position displaced in relation to the locking position, releases the bar end.
Webbing take-up device
In a pretensioner mechanism of a webbing take-up device, a sealing member seals a communicating hole of a piston. When a force limiter mechanism is operated and rotating of a spool in a pull-out direction is allowed, the piston is moved to an upper side in a state in which the sealing member is pressed and contacted against a cylinder. As a result, the sealing member is turned and the sealing of the communicating hole by the sealing member is released. In consequence, a number of components may be reduced and assembly characteristics of the pretensioner mechanism may be improved.
End-fitting tensioner for a safety belt system
An end fitting tensioner (10) for a seat belt system includes a rotatable belt shaft (12) to which one end (14) of a webbing (16) is fixed, a belt shaft housing (18) in which the belt shaft (12) is supported, a rope reel (36) which is arranged at an axial end of the belt shaft (12) and is connected to the belt shaft (12) in a rotationally fixed manner, as well as a pull rope (41) which is secured by one rope end (45) on the rope reel (36) and can at least partly be wound onto the rope reel (36). The rope reel (36) includes a winding surface (62) for the pull rope (41) that is conically tapered in the axial direction.
Seatbelt retractor and seatbelt assembly including same
A seatbelt retractor is provided that can be formed in a smaller size yet properly operated, and capable of smoothly providing seatbelt tension, and a seatbelt assembly including such a seatbelt retractor. The seatbelt retractor includes a frame, a seatbelt, a spool that takes up the seatbelt, the spool being rotatably supported by the frame, a lock mechanism that allows the spool to rotate in a non-activated state and restricts, upon being activated, the spool from rotating in the seatbelt withdrawal direction, and an energy absorption mechanism that limits the load applied to the seatbelt to thereby absorb and alleviate energy of the occupant, and the energy absorption mechanism includes a first torsion bar concentrically enclosed in the spool with one end portion retained by the spool and the other end portion disposed to be locked by the lock mechanism, and disposed to be rotated by torsional force, a second torsion bar eccentrically enclosed in the spool with one end portion 24a disposed to be locked by the lock mechanism, and disposed to be rotated by torsional force, and a moving member that rotates interlocked with the spool, and moves between the first position for retaining the other end portion of the second torsion bar and the second position spaced from the other end portion of the second torsion bar.
Seatback
A seatback with a built-in retractor for a seat belt includes a first bracket configured to receive a tension acting on the retractor via the seat belt, and a second bracket provided on a belt discharge port side of the retractor and configured to hold a posture of the retractor. A portion of the second bracket having the smallest separation distance from the seat belt is constituted with a curved surface.
Retractor pretensioner assembly
A seatbelt pretensioner system includes a pretensioner tube in fluid communication with a gas generator and a pretensioner rod having a proximal end portion disposed toward the gas generator and a distal end portion disposed at an exit of the pretensioner tube. The pretensioner rod is disposed inside the pretensioner tube in a pre-actuation state and adapted to travel within the pretensioner tube toward a pretensioner wheel upon an actuation of the gas generator in a post-actuation state. The pretensioner rod includes a protrusion formed in a radial direction of the rod to couple with the pretensioner tube to restrict the rod from moving out from the pretensioner tube in the pre-actuation state. The pretensioner rod is configured to avoid the stripping of the rod and reduce energy consumption when the polymer rod is deformed during pretensioning.
Webbing take-up device
In a pipe, a first corner portion, a second corner portion, and a third corner portion are formed sequentially from a guide direction upstream stream as a result of an axial direction intermediate portion of the pipe being bent in three places. The first corner portion and the second corner portion are bent in a substantially identical plane, and the third corner portion is bent in a direction deviating from the substantially identical plane. The radius of curvature of the third corner portion is set larger than the radius of curvature of the first corner portion.
