20210229625 · 2021-07-29 · ·

A seat belt pretensioner for a seat belt device in a vehicle, the pretensioner including a frame, a ball housing attached to the frame and a drive wheel located within the ball housing. A spool is connected to the drive wheel and is fixed to one end of a seat belt webbing so that the webbing may be wound around the spool. The pretensioner further includes a pipe connected to the ball housing and a gas generator connected to the pipe. At least one power transmission element is carried in the pipe and is driven by gas provided from the gas generator to contact the drive wheel and rotate the spool to retract the seat belt. A seal member is located between the at least one power transmission element and the gas generator. The seal member is sized to plug the pipe at an inlet to the ball housing.

BELT RETRACTOR FOR A SAFETY BELT DEVICE

The invention relates to a belt retractor (10) for a safety belt device, comprising a belt reel (20) for winding and unwinding the safety belt.

According to the invention, it is provided that at least one reel end (21) of the belt reel (20) is mounted in a bearing which comprises at least two bearing sections (110, 120, 150) having different play.

Belt tightener

A belt tensioner (10) for a seatbelt system comprises a tensioner tube (20) having an open outlet end and a force transmission element (22) which is guided in the tensioner tube (20) and which leaves the tensioner tube (20) via the open outlet end, a gas generator (18) providing compressed gas for displacing the force transmission element (22) within the tensioner tube (20) as well as a drive wheel (16) rotated by the force transmission element (22) leaving the tensioner tube (20). There is provided a guiding component (24) surrounding the drive wheel (16) into which guiding component the force transmission element (22) enters upon leaving the tensioner tube (20). At the guiding component (24) an energy-dissipating structure (50) is provided which the force transmission element (22) contacts when it has at least substantially completely left the tensioner tube (20).

WEBBING TAKE-UP DEVICE

In a webbing take-up device, a moving member is moved while being guided along a cylinder in order to rotate a spool in a take-up direction. A urging plate of a guide member urges a flange at an axial direction leading end portion of the cylinder toward a restricting direction side, and a leg plate of a frame restricts rotation of the flange toward the restricting direction side. This enables rattling of the axial direction leading end portion of the cylinder about the axial direction of the cylinder to be suppressed.

Belt retractor having a force limiter

The invention relates to a belt retractor comprising a frame (10), a belt reel (12) rotatably arranged within the frame (10), a blocking mechanism (18) by which the belt reel (12) can be blocked within the frame (10), and a load limiter which comprises a corrugated disk (36), characterized in that the corrugated disk (36) is disposed between the belt reel (12) and a cover (38) which is laterally attached to the belt reel (12).

Webbing take-up device

In a webbing take-up device, when a rotating member is rotated in a take-up direction in a state in which first engagement teeth and second engagement teeth of a rotating member are digging or biting into a moving member, the moving member is pressed by the first engagement teeth and the second engagement teeth of the rotating member. The moving member thus expands into a first deformation-permitting portion and a second deformation-permitting portion in a cover plate, and expanded portions of the moving member oppose a first restriction portion configured by an axial center direction leading end face of a cylinder, and a second restriction portion of the cover plate.

Webbing take-up device

A webbing take-up device is provided with (i) a spool and (ii) a rotor rotatable integrally with the spool having a base portion and radially-extending engaging teeth. A webbing to be applied to a vehicle occupant is wound around the spool. Each engaging tooth protrudes from the base portion in a rotation axis direction of the spool, and is tapered along the rotation axis direction such that a thickness dimension in a rotation circumference direction of the spool of a portion of the engaging tooth at the opposite side thereof from the base portion becomes smaller toward the base portion side thereof. The axially-tapered shape of the engaging teeth reduces stresses and improves transmission efficiency between the rotor teeth and the teeth of a moving member engaged thereto.

The invention refers to a load-bearing structural part (2) of a seat structure of a vehicle seat, which has a cavity (21), in which a belt retractor (40) is arranged.

Retractor pretensioner with piston rest area

A seatbelt tensioner for a seat belt retractor, having a pipe (1) with a tensioner drive wheel, a gas generator (10), a piston (3), and at least one mass body (4). The mass body (4) is drivable by gas from the gas generator (10) acting on the piston (3) between the gas generator (10) and a mass body (4). The mass body drives the tensioner drive wheel. The pipe (1) has a receiving section (5) with a first inner diameter (2), in which the piston (3) in its initial state is arranged with an initial-state outer diameter (8). The pipe (1) has a guide section (6) which adjoins the receiving section (5) and which has a second inner diameter (7). The second inner diameter (7) is smaller than the first inner diameter (2) and smaller than the initial-state outer diameter (8) of the piston (3).

Retractor pretensioner assembly

A seatbelt pretensioning retractor assembly for use in a vehicle is provided. The seatbelt pretensioning retractor assembly includes a housing adapted for being mounted to a frame and having an interior cavity, a pretensioner tube having an arcuate and curved shape, a sprocket rotatably mounted to the housing and fixedly coupled to a spindle, a polymer rod disposed within the tube and a guide plate having a guide portion and a rod guide. The polymer rod exits the tube along a perimeter of the sprocket, and toward an arcuate landing surface of the guide portion. In addition, the rod guide is configured for preventing the polymer rod from trapping before engaging with the sprocket or after pretensioning.
