Vehicle brake pedal device
The vehicle brake pedal device includes a pedal bracket fixed to a partition wall, a brake arm and a coupling arm assembled to the pedal bracket, a clevis and a movable plate assembled to the coupling arm, and a fixed member and a coupling bracket assembled to a vehicle body component. In the event of a front collision of the vehicle, the pedal bracket is moved backward, and the movable plate is brought into abutment against the fixed member to rotate. As a result, a push part of the movable plate is brought into abutment against the clevis, and a breakable part of the clevis is broken so that the clevis and the coupling arm are decoupled from each other. Then, the coupling arm is rotated forward with respect to the pedal bracket.

SENSOR DEVICE AND METHOD FOR CARRYING OUT OR REINFORCING AN AUTONOMOUS BUILD-UP OF BRAKE PRESSURE IN A BRAKE SYSTEM BY MEANS OF AN ACTIVE BRAKE BOOSTER
A sensor device, active brake booster, and method for a braking system, including an active brake booster for carrying out/boosting an autonomous or partially autonomous brake pressure buildup, including an electronic device, which, at least during the autonomous or partially autonomous brake pressure buildup by the active brake booster, is configured, based on at least one deformation variable, provided externally or established by the sensor device, as to a deformation of the active brake booster, and/or a tensile force which effectuates the deformation and is exerted on a brake pedal, to output at least one activation signal to a warning display device and/or to a warning sound output device and/or at least one control signal to the active brake booster, to control the latter at least for a predefined first time interval into a safety mode or to interrupt the latter at least for a predefined second time interval.
METHOD OF CONTROLLING SWITCHING TO MANUAL DRIVING MODE IN AUTONOMOUS VEHICLE EQUIPPED WITH FOLDABLE PEDAL DEVICE
A method of controlling switching to a manual driving mode in an autonomous vehicle provided with a foldable pedal device is provided. In the method, when a signal for switching a driving mode from an autonomous driving mode to the manual driving mode is generated in an autonomous vehicle provided with a foldable accelerator pedal device and a foldable brake pedal device, whether it is possible to switch the driving mode to the manual driving mode is determined by checking safety conditions; when the safety conditions are satisfied, it is determined whether a pop-up position of a pad of the foldable accelerator pedal device and a pop-up position of a pad of the foldable brake pedal device are normal pop-up positions, respectively; and only when the positions are the respective normal pop-up positions, the driving mode is switched to the manual driving mode.
Vehicle pedal arrangement
A vehicle pedal arrangement according to one embodiment includes a support, a rotating shaft, a pedal that is pivotable with respect to the rotating shaft, a retention member and actuating means. The pedal includes a retaining housing and an opening, such that under normal operating conditions the rotating shaft is arranged in the opening and the retention member is at least partially housed in the retaining housing supported against the rotating shaft, retaining the rotating shaft in the opening. In the event of a head-on collision, the actuating means moves the retention member such that the pedal is no longer retained against the rotating shaft.
OPERATIVE PEDAL DEVICE FOR VEHICLE
Provided is a vehicular operation pedal device having a fail-safe function to prevent backward movement of a step portion of an operation pedal mechanism at the time of a vehicle collision. A brake pedal device (1) includes a protrusion (90) which performs rotation restriction for preventing a rotating member (50) from rotating about a rotating shaft portion (14), and on which a restricting load (F2) acts by the rotation restriction. During the rotation restriction by the protrusion (90), a second load acts as the restricting load (F2) when a step portion (24) of an operation pedal mechanism (20) is fully stepped forward of a vehicle, and when the restricting load (F2) is greater than the second load, the rotation restriction is released due to deformation of the protrusion (90) by shearing or bending.
Vehicle operation pedal device
Provided is a vehicle operation pedal device comprising: an operation pedal which includes a depressing part provided thereto; a pair of upper support members which are fixed to a dash panel; a pair of lower support members which are fixed to the dash panel and also fixed to the pair of upper support members; an upper center support member which is laid between the pair of upper support members; and a connection hole which supports an operating rod protruding from the dash panel towards a vehicle rear side, such that the operating rod is rotatable with respect to the operation pedal. The upper center support member comprises a sliding receiving part. The pair of upper support members comprise an escape hole.
DISAPPEARING STEERING WHEEL AND PEDALS
A motor vehicle includes a steering wheel and/or pedals that can be moved from an active driving position to an inactive or stowed position. The motor vehicle may include a pedal shield that substantially blocks a driver's access to the pedals when the pedals are in an inactive position. The steering wheel and pedals may shift laterally simultaneously between the active and inactive positions or configurations.
Foldable pedal apparatus for vehicle
A foldable pedal apparatus for a vehicle includes: a pedal housing rotatably coupled to a footrest panel disposed below a driver seat, configured to come in contact with a front inclined surface of the footrest panel when rotating forward, and configured to come in contact with a bottom surface of the footrest panel when rotating rearward; a brake pedal pad rotatably coupled to the pedal housing and configured to be rotated by a driver; and an accelerator pedal pad rotatably coupled to the pedal housing and configured to be rotated by the driver, wherein when the pedal housing is in contact with the front inclined surface of the footrest panel by rotating forward, the brake pedal pad and the accelerator pedal pad are folded to be positioned between the front inclined surface and the pedal housing and are kept in a hidden state.
