Deflection apparatus for an engine
Methods and systems are provided for one or more deflector elements coupled to an engine. In one example, a system includes a deflector element physically coupled to an interface at which edges of an engine head and an engine block join, wherein the deflector element extends around a portion of the edge and a screw boss, where the screw boss bulges out from the edges.
Foldable brake pedal apparatus for autonomous vehicle
A foldable brake pedal apparatus of an autonomous vehicle, may include a pedal housing to be mounted in a space below a driver's seat; a pedal pad pivotably coupled to the pedal housing via a hinge pin, in a response to movement of s driver's foot, and configured to be selectively switchable to a hidden state in which the pedal pad is inserted into the pedal housing or a popped-up state in which the pedal pad protrudes from the pedal housing; an actuator fixed in the pedal housing, coupled to the pedal pad and configured to generate power to pivot the pedal pad to allow the pedal pad to be in the hidden state or in the popped-up state; and a high load spring module pivotably coupled to the pedal housing, having one end portion thereof and the other end portion connected to the pedal pad and the actuator, and configured to transmit the power of the actuator to the pedal pad.
AUTOMOTIVE PEDAL RELEASE SYSTEM
An automobile pedal release system that includes a housing having first and second side walls spaced apart by a cleft, where each side wall includes a pocket recessed into an inner surface such that the two pockets oppose one another; a brake pedal assembly having a pivot member disposed in the cleft and defining a pivot axis, first and second bushings, and a brake pedal arm rotatable about the pivot axis relative to the two bushings, where each busing is disposed in a first portion of one pocket and receives one of two ends of the pivot member; and a striker assembly having a striker and two plugs, the striker having an elongated body extending in the cleft between the side walls, where each plug is disposed in a second portion of one pocket and includes a bore that receives one of two ends of the striker.
Foldable brake pedal apparatus for autonomous driving vehicle
A foldable brake pedal apparatus for an autonomous driving vehicle is provided. A brake pedal is exposed to the interior of the vehicle allowing a driver to manipulate the brake pedal in a manual driving mode and the brake pedal is prevented from being exposed to the interior of the vehicle to prevent the driver from manipulating the vehicle in an autonomous driving situation.
PEDAL UNIT FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE
A pedal unit for a motor vehicle may include a multiplicity of cylinder elements which are guided one inside the other in a telescopic fashion along a movement axis, a pedal face for a user, one or more spring elements, and a sensor unit. The pedal face may be coupled to one of the cylinder elements. Each of the spring elements is configured to interact with two cylinder elements assigned thereto, as a result of which, when the pedal face is activated an opposing force can be generated at the pedal face, the opposing force depending progressively on movement travel of the pedal face. The sensor unit may be configured to generate an output signal that is dependent on activation of the pedal face.
Electrified vehicle and deflector assembly for electrified vehicle
An assembly for an electrified vehicle having a housing containing a transmission, and a vehicle component positioned in a longitudinal direction between the housing and a passenger compartment, includes a deflector configured for mounting to the housing and having a deflection face configured to deflect the vehicle component and/or the housing away from the passenger compartment during a frontal collision.
Pedal assembly for a motor vehicle
A pedal assembly for a motor vehicle includes a bracket with a first groove, a pedal shaft arranged in the first groove and a pedal arm pivotally coupled to the bracket via the pedal; an operating device and at least one locking device. The operating device is arranged for activation or control of a vehicular function and is pivotally coupled to the pedal arm. The locking device is arranged for locking of the pedal shaft in an operating position, and in the event of a collision, it is releasable to allow movement of the pedal shaft from the operating position to a safety position. The bracket has a second groove. A locking pin is arranged in a locking position in the second groove in order to prevent the release of the locking device. An actuator device is arranged to activate the safety arrangement by releasing the locking device from the locking pin in mechanical way by an external force caused by the collision onto the actuator device, thereby allowing the pedal shaft to move from the operating position to the safety position.
PEDAL ASSEMBLY WITH A RELEASE MECHANISM
Embodiments described herein are directed to a pedal assembly. The pedal assembly includes a housing, a pedal arm, a retaining member, and a block. The pedal arm has an upper end. The upper end is pivotally coupled to the housing. The retaining member is slidably engaged within the housing. The retaining member has a first angled portion. A portion of the retaining member in communication with the upper end of the pedal arm. The block is slidably mounted within the housing and perpendicular to the first angled portion of the retaining member. The block has a second angled portion that is complimentary to the first angled portion. Upon an impact, the second angled portion slidably engages with the first angled portion, which causes the retaining member to move and release the upper end of the pedal arm from the housing.
PEDAL APPARATUS FOR DRIVER PROTECTION
A pedal apparatus for driver protection, may include a switch bracket rotatably coupled to a pedal member by a hinge pin; and a collision removal pin fixedly connected to the switch bracket and detachably coupled to the pedal member, wherein the switch bracket rotates a pedal arm forwards by contacting with the pedal arm while rotating around the hinge pin when the collision removal pin is detached from the pedal member.
