STEER/BRAKE SYSTEM
A steer/brake system for a vehicle (with wheels and/or tracks) is disclosed. The system may comprise a steering system with an operator control and braking system for each side of the vehicle with a master cylinder for the brake mechanism and an interface between the braking system and the operator control. Operation may provide a phase where the interface is at least partially engaged and force may be applied through the interface to the master cylinder to engage the brake mechanism to provide modulation for the operator control. A steering emulation system may comprise the interface and a compliant element configured to provide modulation for the operator control. The system may comprise a shared hydraulic system; the brake mechanism may comprise the steering brake mechanism and the service brake mechanism.
ANTI-THEFT ROLLAWAY PREVENTION HANDLE ASSEMBLY INCORPORATED INTO A MANUAL PARK RELEASE MECHANISM
An anti-theft and rollaway prevention handle assembly integrated into a park release mechanism of a vehicle. A housing has a recessed configuration supporting a park release pull handle engaged to the housing in a stowed position and preventing access to the handle. An unlock mechanism communicates with the handle via a latch such that, upon actuating the unlock mechanism, the latch being displaced to release the handle to project outwardly from the recessed configuration, permitting grasping of the same by a user in order to actuate the vehicle from the park position.
Brake Pedal Actuation Device and Method of Use
A brake pedal actuation device. The brake pedal actuation device includes an elongated body having a first end opposite a second end, wherein the elongated body includes a first portion slidably disposed over a second portion such that the elongated body is movable between a collapsed position and an extended position. A linear distance between the first end and the second end is greater when in the extended position. A handle is removably secured to the first portion via friction fit.
CAM LOCKING HANDLE ASSEMBLY FOR MANUAL PARK RELEASE
A park release assembly including a package housing with a depth defining base and a cover and a cam component supported in a limited pivotal fashion within the housing. The cam component includes upper and lower portions, each further having an arcuate extending guide surface. A release cable extends in a first direction within the housing and engages the arcuate surface of the lower cam portion. An engagement cable extends in a second crosswise direction relative to the release cable and engages the arcuate surface of the upper cam portion. A pull handle is secured to an end of the engagement cable and, upon outwardly displacing the pull handle, causes concurrent rotation of the cam component in a counter biasing direction in order to linearly displace the release cable in an extending direction in order to actuate a remote lever to a vehicle Park release condition.
AIRBRAKE LOCKING ASSEMBLY
An airbrake locking assembly for keeping parking brake engaged on a vehicle with airbrakes includes a vehicle that has airbrakes which include a parking brake plunger. The parking brake plunger is positionable in an actuated position and an un-actuated position. A collar is provided that has a first half being pivotally coupled to a second half. The collar is positionable around the parking brake plunger when the parking brake plunger is positioned in the actuated position. Moreover, the collar inhibits the parking brake plunger from being urged into the un-actuated position when the collar is positioned around the parking brake plunger. In this way the vehicle is retained in a parked position thereby enhancing safety for individuals entering and exiting the vehicle. A lock is coupled to first half of the collar and releasably engages the second half.
Steer/brake system
A steer/brake system for a vehicle (with wheels and/or tracks) is disclosed. The system may comprise a steering system with an operator control and braking system for each side of the vehicle with a master cylinder for the brake mechanism and an interface between the braking system and the operator control. Operation may provide a phase where the interface is at least partially engaged and force may be applied through the interface to the master cylinder to engage the brake mechanism to provide modulation for the operator control. A steering emulation system may comprise the interface and a compliant element configured to provide modulation for the operator control. The system may comprise a shared hydraulic system; the brake mechanism may comprise the steering brake mechanism and the service brake mechanism.
WORK VEHICLE
In a work vehicle, a through-hole in a stay includes first and second regions. When a grip is pulled in an unlocked state in which a collar is located inside the first region and a grip assembly is not locked inside the through-hole, a state is transitioned into a locked state in which a compression spring is compressed by a pin and a plain washer, a brake lever rotates, a claw moves toward a notch, and a rod is located inside the second region and the grip assembly is locked inside the through-hole. When a brake pedal is stepped on in this locked state, the claw and the notch engage with each other, and the brake pedal is locked.
MANUAL DEVICE FOR RELEASING AN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FROM PARK GEAR
A manual park release device includes a base portion. A handle portion is rotatably coupled to the base portion to move from a retracted position to an extended position. The handle portion during rotation toward the extended position exerts a pulling force to displace a tension cable connected to an automatic transmission of an automobile vehicle to change from a first park gear to a second neutral gear. A first locking feature releasably restricts rotational movement of the handle portion away from the retracted position. A second locking feature releasably restricts rotational movement of the handle portion away from the extended position.
SUPPORT STRUCTURE FOR BRAKE LEVER, AND OFF-ROAD VEHICLE
A brake lever support structure includes: a brake lever movable between a working position at which a parking brake of an off-road vehicle works and a cancel position at which the parking brake is cancelled; and an interior panel defining an inner surface of a cabin of the off-road vehicle. The brake lever extends from inside of the cabin to outside of the cabin through the interior panel. The interior panel includes a stopper that contacts the brake lever at the cancel position to restrict movement of the brake lever.
AIR BRAKE VALVE SAFETY AND SECURITY GUARD
A safety device for vehicles with air brakes that can be attached in conjunction with a parking brake that will provide protection from unintended brake releases due to the parking brake control valve knob being bumped or pushed. The said invented guard can also be locked for security and theft protection.
