The supports may be rails installed specifically for the tackle storage and organization system, or they may be the upper edges of existing partitions for subcompartments within the deck compartment. A box or tray is installed on the supports so as to be slideable horizontally along the supports, but is also removable from the supports. The box or tray may be subdivided into any number of compartments, and in some cases, the dividers used may be removable and repositionable in order to adapt to different types of items. The box or tray may have engaging structure to mount a number of accessories, including a spool accessory.

An improved and efficient ice-fishing tip-up spool having a generally cylindrical shape comprising an arbor configured within a first side wall and a second side wall, wherein the arbor has a diameter larger than conventional ice fishing tip-up spools. The larger arbor on the improved and efficient spool decreases the amount of fishing line required to have a full spool which can be achieved with less than 100 feet of fishing line. The large arbor spool also comprises a handle which is integrated onto the second wall and makes the spooling and re-spooling quicker in combination with the larger arbor as the fishing line spooled on per revolution is more than the fishing line spooled on per revolution by conventional ice fishing tip-up spools.

A jigging device that has a disk base and a pivot arm that has a sail attached. The pivot arm is attached to the pivot support. The pivot arm moves about a pivot assembly, moved by the wind. The sail is attached to the end of the pivot arm. At the other end, is a clip release. Fishing line, fed by a spool, passes through the disk and up to the clip release. The line is held there until sufficient downward force releases it from the clip. The line passes back down through the disk. A lure is attached to the end of the line. The lure is suspended in the water under the ice. The wind moves the pivot arm up and down, which causes the line and, consequently; the lure to move in sync with the pivot arm, thereby jigging the lure.

The drive motor can rotate the rotary drum in a forward winding direction until a load reaches a transmission torque, and when load exceeds the transmission torque, the drum can rotate in a reverse unwinding direction. In a reverse torque operation region, a winding torque is set to a preset Winding Force 2 Reference Rotation Speed relative to a Winding Force 1, and is changed based on a change of rotation speed of the drum. The ratio of winding torque increase/decrease is determined by a torque rising curve. The winding torque switches to Winding Force 3 to perform a constant torque operation when speed of the drum reaches Winding Force 3 Reference Rotation Speed.

A reel suitable for bow fishing and the like provides a cowling covering a reel with a wide opening to reduce frictional restraint on high-speed paying out of the line with the flight of the arrow. An optional guide arm may be used to minimize line diversion and hence friction during line payout while absorbing forces when the line is retracted permitting use of a lighter cowling design without loss of strength. A high torque bevel gear transmission and safety lighting is further provided.
