Brake system
A brake system may include an actuation device, in particular a brake pedal, a first piston-cylinder unit with two pistons, in particular an auxiliary piston and a second piston, in order to supply a pressure medium to brake circuits via a valve device. One of the pistons, in particular the auxiliary piston, can be actuated by means of the actuation device. The brake system may further include a second piston-cylinder unit with an electric motor-powered drive, a transmission, and at least one piston to supply a pressure medium to at least one of the brake circuits via a valve device and a motor-pump unit with a valve device to supply a pressure medium to the brake circuits. According to one aspect, a hydraulic travel simulator is connected to a pressure or working chamber of the first piston-cylinder unit.
BRAKE SYSTEM
A brake system may include an actuating device, in particular a brake pedal; a first piston-cylinder unit having two pistons subjecting the brake circuits to a pressure medium via a valve device, wherein one of the pistons can be actuated by the actuation device; a second piston-cylinder unit having an electric motor drive, a transmission at least one piston to supply at least one of the brake circuits with a pressure medium via a valve device; and a motor pump unit with a valve device to supply the brake circuits with a pressure medium. The brake system may also include a hydraulic travel simulator with a pressure or working chamber which is connected to the first piston-cylinder unit.
HYDRAULIC BLOCK FOR A HYDRAULIC POWER BRAKE SYSTEM
To extend a power cylinder bore in a hydraulic block of a power brake system, a cylinder cover, which is in the form of a cylinder tube and is closed at one end, is fastened by means of a circumferential caulking in a fastening groove of the hydraulic block which encloses the power cylinder bore. An interference fit of a fastening flange of the cylinder cover in the fastening groove reliably seals the cylinder cover against the hydraulic block in a pressure-proof manner.
Vehicle Brake System With Secondary Brake Module
A brake system has a wheel brake and is operable under a non-failure normal braking mode and a manual push-through mode. The system includes a master cylinder operable by a brake pedal during a manual push-through mode to provide fluid flow at an output for actuating the wheel brake. A first source of pressurized fluid provides fluid pressure for actuating the wheel brake under a normal braking mode. A secondary brake module includes a plunger assembly for generating brake actuating pressure for actuating the wheel brake under the manual push-through mode.
Rotation/translation converter gear unit
A rotation/translation converter gear unit having a helical gear and a planetary gear for driving the helical gear. A spindle nut of the helical gear forms a planet carrier for planet wheels of the planetary gear. Situated between the planetary gear and the helical gear is an axial friction bearing, that at the same time forms a centering element which centers a sun wheel of the planetary gear between the planet wheels. In particular, the rotation/translation converter gear unit is used to drive a piston of a pressure generator for a brake control of a hydraulic vehicle brake system.
Actuation system for at least one hydraulically actuable device, in particular a vehicle brake
An actuation system for at least one hydraulically actuatable device, e.g., a vehicle brake, may include an actuation device, e.g., a brake pedal, at least one first pressure source that can be actuated using the actuation device, and a second pressure source having a pressure-generating arrangement that is moveable in two directions, and which includes an electro-mechanical drive for the pressure-generating arrangement. Each pressure source is connected via at least one hydraulic line to the hydraulically actuatable device for supplying pressurizing medium. A valve device may regulate pressure of the hydraulically actuatable device. Pressurizing medium can be supplied in a controlled manner in both movement directions of the pressure-generating arrangement. Provision is made for two working chambers of the second pressure source to be connected by a hydraulic line, and a valve device may be arranged in the hydraulic line.
Electric brake system
An electric brake system is disclosed. The electric brake system includes a hydraulic pressure supply device configured to generate hydraulic pressure using a piston that is activated by means of an electrical signal output corresponding to a displacement of a brake pedal, and including a first pressure chamber provided at one side of the piston, which is movably accommodated inside a cylinder block, and connected to one or more wheel cylinders, and a second pressure chamber provided at the other side of the piston and connected to one or more wheel cylinders, a first hydraulic circuit including a first hydraulic flow path communicating with the first pressure chamber, and first and second branching flow paths that branch from the first hydraulic flow path to be connected to two wheel cylinders, respectively, a second hydraulic circuit including a second hydraulic flow path communicating with the second pressure chamber, and third and fourth branching flow paths that branch from the second hydraulic flow path to be connected to two wheel cylinders, respectively, and first to fourth inlet valves configured to control an opening and closing of the first to fourth branching flow paths, respectively.
Vehicle Brake System with Front Axle Overboost
A brake system having a wheel brake and being operable under a non-failure normal braking mode and a manual push-through mode. The system includes a master cylinder operable by a brake pedal during the manual push-through mode to provide fluid flow at an output for actuating the wheel brake. A first source of pressurized fluid provides fluid pressure for actuating the wheel brake under the normal braking mode. A second source of pressurized fluid generates brake actuating pressure for actuating the wheel brake under the manual push-through mode.
Vehicle Brake System Having Plunger Power Source
The invention relates to an improved plunger assembly for a vehicle brake system. The plunger assembly is operable as a pressure source to control brake fluid pressure supplied to one or more wheel brakes. The plunger assembly comprises a housing defining a cylinder; a reversible motor supported by the housing and having a rotor; and a linear actuator such as a ball screw/nut mechanism driven by the motor. A plunger head is mounted in the cylinder and driven by the linear actuator in first and second opposite directions. Improvements include an elastomeric tubular torque coupler connected to a ball screw/nut anti-rotation member; and a clamped connection at an inner race of a motor bearing for securing the rotor to the ball screw/nut component.
Improvements include a linear actuator rotationally supported on the housing by a bearing to actuate the plunger head connection to a ball screw.
