An ABS modulator arrangement is hydraulically interposed between at least one of first and second three-way valves and at least a selected wheel brake. A multiplex control valve arrangement is hydraulically interposed between the secondary power transmission unit and the front wheel brakes.

An object of the present invention is to provide a hydraulic control apparatus capable of layout flexibility. A hydraulics control apparatus includes a second unit (a hydraulic unit) and a first unit (a stroke simulator unit). The second unit includes a housing including a brake fluid passage therein, a positive pressure fluid passage and a back-pressure fluid passage (a unit connection fluid passage) each having one end side connected to the brake fluid passage, a positive pressure port and a back-pressure port (a unit connection port) provided on a surface of the housing and connected to the other end sides of the positive pressure fluid passage and the back-pressure fluid passage, a pump (a hydraulic source) provided inside the housing and configured to generate a hydraulic pressure in each of wheel cylinders of a vehicle via the brake fluid passage, and a motor attached to a surface of the housing and configured to actuate the pump. The first unit includes a stroke simulator. The stroke simulator is configured to generate a reaction force of the brake pedal operation. The first unit further includes a first connection fluid passage and a second connection fluid passage (a simulator connection fluid passage) each having one end side connected to the stroke simulator, and a simulator first connection port and a simulator second connection port (a simulator connection port).

BRAKING SYSTEM FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE

A braking system for a motor vehicle comprises a first and second electrically controllable pressure source for providing a brake pressure for actuating the wheel brakes. An electrically controllable pressure modulation device sets brake pressures that are individual to each of the wheel brakes, said device having electrically actuatable inlet valves and outlet valves for each wheel brake. The second pressure source comprises a motor-pump unit and at least one low-pressure accumulator. The low-pressure accumulator is connected to an output connection of at least one outlet valve. A first and a second energy supply unit for the braking system are independent from one another. The first energy supply unit supplies the first pressure source with energy. The second energy supply unit supplies the second pressure source with energy. The pressure modulation device is supplied with energy by the first energy supply unit and by the second energy supply unit.

A brake system, including four hydraulically actuatable wheel brakes. Each wheel brake is assigned in each case one outlet valve which is closed when electrically deenergized. The brake system furthermore includes a simulator which is actuatable by a brake pedal, wherein two pressure provision devices are provided for actively building up pressure in the wheel brakes, two brake circuits are hydraulically formed, wherein, in each brake circuit, in each case one pressure provision device is hydraulically connected to two wheel brakes, and wherein two separate on-board electrical systems are provided, and wherein each pressure provision device is fed in each case by one of the two on-board electrical systems.

A brake system for vehicles, comprising hydraulically actuatable wheel brakes, a first electrohydraulic brake control device, having an associated pressure-medium. The first brake control device comprises a first pressure-providing device for supplying the wheel brakes. An inlet valve and an outlet valve for setting wheel-specific brake pressures, and a wheel-specific output pressure connection connected to the pressure-medium reservoir by the outlet valves. A second electrohydraulic brake control device, comprises a second pressure-providing device with a first pump having a suction side and a pressure side for supplying a first wheel brake of the wheel brakes. The second brake control device is connected downstream of the first brake control device and the suction side of the first pump is connected to a first of the output pressure connections of the first brake control device. A check valve is connected in parallel with the outlet valve of the first output pressure connection.

The isolating valve is arranged in each case in a hydraulic connection between the first brake system and the corresponding wheel brake.
