Eco-friendly vehicle and method of controlling coasting for the same
A method of controlling coasting of an eco-friendly vehicle includes: determining at least one effective event among deceleration events configured with a target speed in a forward driving path; setting a closest effective event based on a current position among the at least one effective event as a first candidate event; determining whether at least one second candidate event corresponding to an event needed to be followed is present among remaining effective events except for the first candidate event of the at least one effective event; and, when the at least one second candidate event is present, determining a target event among the first candidate event and the second candidate event in consideration of a control start point.
Directional shift variable brake disengagement
A braking system is disclosed. The braking system may include a controller configured to determine a speed threshold that is based on a deceleration of an output speed of a powertrain of a machine caused in part by engagement of one or more brakes of the machine during a directional shift in a movement of the machine, the speed threshold being the output speed of the powertrain at which the one or more brakes are to be commanded to disengage. The controller may be configured to command disengagement of the one or more brakes based on a determination that the output speed of the powertrain satisfies the speed threshold.
Vehicle deceleration system
A vehicle includes a control system, a sensing system that senses an environment of the vehicle, and a propulsion system, a braking system, and a steering system that are operated by the control system to navigate the vehicle according to the sensing system and without direct human control. The propulsion system and the braking system are operated by the control system to cooperatively decelerate the vehicle. The braking system includes an inboard friction brake that is associated with one or more wheels of the vehicle and does not form unsprung mass of the vehicle.
METHOD FOR CONTROLLING SERIES HYBRID VEHICLE, AND SERIES HYBRID VEHICLE
A series hybrid vehicle control method charges a battery with electric power generated by an electric power generation motor driven by an internal combustion engine, and electric power regenerated by a drive motor. The control method starts generating the electric power by the engine if a requested output exceeds a power generation start threshold value, and stops generating electric power by the engine if the requested output falls below a power generation stop threshold value. A deceleration rate by regeneration of the drive motor is greater in a second advancement shift position than in a first advancement shift position. The power generation start threshold value and/or the power generation stop threshold value where the second advancement shift position has been selected is greater than the power generation start threshold value or the power generation stop threshold value where the first advancement shift position has been selected.
Energy Management of an Electrically Driven Vehicle
A method for operating a vehicle in particular a commercial vehicle having electric energy storage and an electric driving machine, includes determining an absorbable amount of energy of the electric energy storage, determining a driving route drivable by the vehicle at least partially in an overrun mode, and determining a recuperation power by which the vehicle may by operated along the driving route and/or determining a target speed at which the vehicle is to be driven on the driving route, such that at the end of the driving route the energy content of the energy storage has been increased by the determined absorbable amount of energy. Also provided is a device, a computer program product and a storage medium for the energy management of an electrically driven vehicle as well as such vehicle.
Method for sensing failure of hybrid vehicle
A method may include distributing target torque to target engine torque of an engine and target motor torque of a motor according to a predetermined control logic according to driver demand torque, comparing torques which determines whether actual torques of the engine and the motor are smaller than the target engine torque and the target motor torque, comparing whether a time period during which a state where a state where the torque of the engine or the motor is insufficient is maintained is a predetermined reference time or more, determining that any one of the engine and the motor is failed, when the time during which a state where the state where the torque of the engine or the motor is insufficient is maintained is the reference time or more, and controlling limp-home which limits the target engine torque of the engine, the target motor torque of the motor, and the regenerative braking amount of the motor.
RAPID ACCELERATION MODE SYSTEM OF VEHICLE AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE SAME
Disclosed are a rapid acceleration mode system of a vehicle and a method for controlling the same which may provide personalized user options for rapid acceleration. In particular embodiments, the system includes an input device configured to receive a user input regarding whether or not to select a rapid acceleration mode; a storage configured to store at least one of a state reference of a battery and a state reference of a vehicle powertrain; a notification device configured to inform a user whether or not the vehicle enters the rapid acceleration mode; and a controller configured to determine whether or not the vehicle is capable of entering the rapid acceleration mode, and to output whether or not the vehicle is capable of entering the rapid acceleration mode through the notification device.
VEHICLE CONTROL DEVICE
A control device for a vehicle is provided, which includes a power source that generates torque for driving or braking the vehicle, an accelerator pedal sensor that detects an operating amount of an accelerator pedal, and a control unit that controls the power source. The control unit sets a target acceleration based on the accelerator pedal operating amount detected by the accelerator pedal sensor. The control unit sets a target jerk based on the target acceleration, and when the target acceleration increases toward 0 from a value below 0, sets the target jerk so that the target jerk becomes smaller as the target acceleration approaches 0. The control unit sets torque to be outputted or regenerated by the power source, based on the target acceleration and the target jerk.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR TORQUE TRANSITIONING
Methods and systems are provided for torque application during a deceleration event initiated via a shift lever direction change request. In one example, adjusting a deceleration torque towards a traction torque of a going to direction at a vehicle standstill based on an actual vehicle speed and an accelerator pedal position when the actual vehicle speed is below a threshold vehicle speed and a shift lever position is adjusted from a forward position to a reverse position.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ELECTRIC VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL
Example methods and systems for controlling speeds of a vehicle may generally determine a target vehicle acceleration using an autonomy control module of the vehicle. The target vehicle acceleration may be determined based upon at least one of a target vehicle following distance, a target vehicle following speed, or a target vehicle speed. The determined vehicle acceleration may be mapped to a level of vehicle torque using a vehicle dynamics module of the vehicle. Additionally, the level of vehicle torque may be applied to one or more wheels of the vehicle.
