METHOD AND DEVICE TO PREVENT TANGLING OF A FISHING LINE
A fishing accessory for preventing the tangling of a fishing line on a fishing pole comprising a base attachable to the fishing pole and an adjustable guide member. The adjustable guide member is movable from a first position wherein a portion of the guide member contacts a guide surface of the base to a position wherein the portion of the guide member is positioned distant from the guide surface. The fishing accessory includes an adjustment member extending from the guide member engaged with an opening in the base wherein moving the adjustment member in one direction moves the guide member away from the guide surface and moving the adjustment member in the opposite direction moves the guide member closer to the guide surface. The position of the guide member is adjustable toward and away from the guide surface to accommodate a specific diameter fishing line.

Long-distance delivery system for fishing devices
The disclosure provides a system and methods of use pertaining to long-range fishing applications. One embodiment provides a long-range fishing-device delivery system that relies on a mounting shaft, a buoyancy module, and a fishing or payload module to house a variety of fishing devices such as a baited hook, an artificial lure, or a fishing accessory such as a depth sensor, temperature sensor, or fish finder. The delivery system leverages a launch force from an external launching apparatus such as a bow or slingshot to deploy the system and enclosed fishing device to a desired long-range location and depth within a body of water. Other embodiments are also disclosed.

Catapult System
A catapult system for casting a lure from a fishing pole includes a fishing rod that has a line and a reel. The line has a lure that is coupled thereto such that the lure may be cast outwardly from the fishing rod. A catapult is removably coupled to the fishing rod. The catapult engages the lure such that the catapult selectively casts the lure outwardly from the fishing rod.

Steerable fishing lure
A steerable fishing lure with highly improved steerability is disclosed. The fishing lure has a generally hollow body having an inner surface and a generally tubular cam sleeve located inside the body and fixedly attached to the inner surface. The cam sleeve has a forward cam surface and an aft cam surface. A generally cylindrical rotor is slideably inserted into the cam sleeve. The rotor has a forward cam and an aft cam. Each of the forward cam and the aft cam extends outwardly from the rotor such that the forward cam rides along the forward cam surface and the aft cam rides along the aft surface. A biasing member is mounted within the body. The biasing member is adapted to bias the forward cam against the forward cam surface. A method of redirecting a track of the fishing lure is also disclosed.

FISHING LINE CASTING DEVICE
A device for assisting casting and retrieval of a fishing line to which is attached a terminal tackle. The device includes a guide ramp along which a carriage is slidable and a biasing element biasing the carriage towards the distal end of the guide ramp. A carriage pulling mechanism can be operated by a power drive to selectively pull the carriage away from the distal end of the guide ramp. A release mechanism can selectively disengage the carriage and carriage pulling mechanism from each other to allow the biasing element to propel the carriage along the ramp to cast the terminal tackle and fishing line.
