ONBOARD CONTROL DEVICE, WAYSIDE COIL, GROUND CONTROL DEVICE, WIRELESS TRAIN CONTROL SYSTEM, AND TRAIN LOCATION CORRECTION METHOD

An onboard control device includes an obtaining unit to obtain information from a wayside coil, for identifying a location of the wayside coil, and a control unit to correct train location information, or not, on a basis of correction permission information, the permission information being associated with the wayside coil and including information that indicates whether correction to the train location information is permissible. When the permission information indicates that the correction is permissible, the control unit corrects the train location information by using the wayside coil information at the time when the onboard pickup coil has passed through the wayside coil, and when the permission information indicates that the correction is not permissible, the control unit does not correct the train location information at the time when the onboard pickup coil has passed through the wayside coil.

A method for the detection of a crosstalk phenomenon in the communication between a wayside transmission unit, especially a balise, and an on-board unit including an antenna unit, of a railway vehicle, includes the steps of receiving an excitation signal of the wayside transmission unit by using the antenna unit in a moving state of the railway vehicle and measuring an electric and/or a magnetic field in a near field of the wayside transmission unit by using the antenna unit upon reception of the excitation signal. A near field to far field transformation on the field measured in the measuring step is performed to detect a presence of a crosstalk phenomenon. A corresponding an on-board unit is also provided.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROTECTING A COMMUNICATION BETWEEN A BALISE AND A GUIDED VEHICLE FROM CROSS-TALK

An on-board device is configured for reading a telegram of a balise installed at a point along a route followed by a guided vehicle in which the on-board device is to be installed. The on-board device includes a receiver having an antenna for picking up the telegram transmitted by the balise and delivering a reception signal to a processing unit. The processing unit is configured for processing the reception signal in order to read the telegram sent by the balise. A test component is configured for adding a test signal to the reception signal before its processing by the processing unit. The test signal is configured to act as a noise for limiting a sensitivity of the receiver, making it therefore impossible to read a cross-talk signal. A method for protecting the on-board device from cross-talk is also provided.

DRIVE ARRANGEMENT

A drive arrangement for moving a body along a path with respect to first and second media guides, the first media guide conveying a medium at a first velocity along the path and the second media guide conveying the medium at a second velocity different to the first velocity along the path, the drive arrangement being configured to (a) interact with the medium of the first media guide so as to extract energy therefrom and thereby develop a reaction force against the first media guide for driving the body to move along the path, and (b) interact with the medium of the second media guide by means of energy extracted from the medium of the first media guide so as to develop a reaction force against the second media guide for driving the body to move along the path.

METHOD, VEHICLE DEVICE AND CONTROLLER FOR OPERATING A TRACK-BOUND TRAFFIC SYSTEM
20200207390 · 2020-07-02 ·

A method operates a track-bound traffic system which in a particularly efficient manner and at the same time with a comparably low degree of complexity allows the position of at least one vehicle end of a track-bound vehicle to be ascertained. For this purpose, the method is carried out such that a track-side device transmits first information which directly or indirectly characterizes the location of the track-side device and second information which directly or indirectly characterizes the travel direction of a track-bound vehicle. The first and second information is received by the track-bound vehicle at the location of the track-side device; and a position of at least one vehicle end of the track-bound vehicle is ascertained by the track-bound vehicle on the basis of the received first and second information.

A method operates a track-bound traffic system which carries out a determination that a first track section part lying between a track-bound vehicle and a second track section is free of vehicles. A track-side device disposed in a first track section at a distance to an adjacent second track section, transmits status information which characterizes the second track section as being free of track-bound vehicles, and the transmitted status information is received by a vehicle traversing the first track section. The distance is measured such that no other track-bound vehicle fits in a first track section part lying between the track-bound vehicle and the second track section when the track-bound vehicle receives the status information, and the first track section part lying between the track-bound vehicle and the second track section is identified as being free of other track-bound vehicles by the track-bound vehicle based on the received status information.
