Shopping facility assistance systems, devices and methods

Apparatuses, components and methods are provided herein useful to provide assistance to customers and/or workers in a shopping facility. In some embodiments, a shopping facility personal assistance system comprises: a plurality of motorized transport units located in and configured to move through a shopping facility space; a plurality of user interface units, each corresponding to a respective motorized transport unit during use of the respective motorized transport unit; and a central computer system having a network interface such that the central computer system wirelessly communicates with one or both of the plurality of motorized transport units and the plurality of user interface units, wherein the central computer system is configured to control movement of the plurality of motorized transport units through the shopping facility space based at least on inputs from the plurality of user interface units.

Disclosed is a child carrier seat arrangement comprising: a child seat configured to receive a child; a carrier base detachably attached to the child seat; a wheel arrangement coupled to the carrier base, wherein the wheel arrangement provides movement to the child carrier seat arrangement; a processor coupled to the carrier base, wherein the processor is configured to: receive a first input to make the child carrier seat arrangement work in a luggage mode, wherein, in the luggage mode, a user is configured to carry the child carrier seat arrangement as hand luggage; receive a second input to make the child carrier seat arrangement work in a manual mode, wherein, in the manual mode, a user is configured to navigate the child carrier seat arrangement; receive a third input to make the child carrier seat arrangement work in an automatic mode; and a sensor module coupled to the processor, wherein the sensor module is configured to provide instructions to the processor in the automatic mode for autonomous navigation of the child carrier seat arrangement.

A drive assembly is disclosed which is adapted to removably connect to a back end of a beach cart.

Golf cart drive unit, golf bag cart

A kit for motorizing a golf bag cart, a motorized golf bag cart, and a method of motorizing a golf bag cart are disclosed herein. The kit can include brackets having clamps, a golf cart drive unit, and a remote control. Each bracket is used to replace a rear wheel assembly of a non-motorized golf bag cart. The clamps are used to attach the golf drive unit to the cart. The remote control is used to control and steer the cart via the attached golf cart drive unit. The golf cart drive unit includes two motors, two axles, two wheels and an axle aligning member. The axles slide relative to the axle aligning member to accommodate golf bag carts having different rear wheel spacing.

Autonomous Utility Cart and Robotic Cart Platform

A robotic cart platform with a navigation and movement system that integrates into a conventional utility cart to provide both manual and autonomous modes of operation. The platform includes a drive unit with drive wheels replacing the front wheels of the cart. The drive unit has motors, encoders, a processor and a microcontroller. The system has a work environment mapping sensor and a cabled array of proximity and weight sensors, lights, control panel, battery and on/off, GO and emergency stop buttons secured throughout the cart. The encoders obtain drive shaft rotation data that the microcontroller periodically sends to the processor. When in autonomous mode, the system provides navigation, movement and location tracking with or without wireless connection to a server. Stored destinations are set using its location tracking to autonomously navigate the cart. When in manual mode, battery power is off, and back-up power is supplied to the encoders and microcontroller, which continue to obtain shaft rotation data. When in autonomous mode, the shaft rotation data obtained during manual mode is used to determine the present cart location.
