The engagement ratio between the gear section and the internally toothed ring is from 25 to 100%.
Reaction force actuator and steering device
A reaction force actuator to be used in a steer-by-wire steering device includes an operating-side shaft, a motor, and a friction drive transmission. The operating-side shaft rotates integrally with an operating member that a driver operates. The motor includes a cylindrical motor output shaft disposed coaxially on an outer circumference of the operating-side shaft. The friction drive transmission changes a speed of a rotary motion of the motor output shaft and transmits the rotary motion to the operating-side shaft.
Vehicle Steering Device
A vehicle steering device includes: a target-steered-angle setting unit configured to set a left target steered angle that is a target value of the steered angle of a left steered wheel and a right target steered angle that is a target value of the steered angle of a right steered wheel; left motor controllers configured to control a left steering motor based on a left-steered-angle deviation that is a difference between the left steered angle and the left target steered angle; right motor controllers configured to control a right steering motor based on a right-steered-angle deviation that is a difference between the right steered angle and the right target steered angle; and an abnormality determination unit configured to determine that an abnormality has occurred when an absolute value of difference between the left-steered-angle deviation and the right-steered-angle deviation is equal to or larger than a first threshold.
DRIVE UNIT FOR VEHICLE STEERING
The invention relates to a Drive unit as part of a vehicle steering comprising a housing, mechanically connectable to the vehicle through an anti-rotation system, a rotatory output element, an interface for interfacing the motor control, including powering coils and measuring feedback to external control unit, and a motor comprising an angular position sensor, a stator and a rotor, the stator being fixedly mounted in the housing, and the rotor being rotatably mounted in the housing, wherein the output element, the stator and the rotor are coaxially arranged, wherein the motor is mechanically coupled to the output element by a differential providing an angular speed for the output element which is different from the angular speed of the rotor.
Vehicle control method and vehicle, non-transitory storage medium and chip
A vehicle control method, vehicle and non-transitory computer readable storage medium that enables a current transmission ratio of a vehicle to be decreased prior to a driver turning a steering wheel so that a larger steering angle of a wheel can be obtained when the driver turns the steering wheel at a smaller angle in emergency driving situations.
STEERING DEVICE FOR MOTOR VEHICLE, STEER-BY-WIRE STEERING SYSTEM AND MOTOR VEHICLE
A steering device for a motor vehicle, in particular for use in a steer-by-wire steering system, comprises a steering handle rotatable about an axis of the steering device, and a restoring torque generating arrangement coupled to the steering handle and configured to generate a torque that at least partially counteracts rotation of the steering handle. The restoring torque generating arrangement comprises a motor having a hollow core coaxial to the axis of the steering device, and a gear coupled to the motor and configured to transmit a torque produced by the motor to the steering handle. The gear has a hollow central region coaxial to the axis of the steering device and a gear ratio within the range from 20:1 to 100:1.
Method of controlling a steering system
A method of controlling a steering system of a vehicle, the steering system comprising a first steering shaft, a second steering shaft, and a mechanical member comprising a first portion connected to the first steering shaft and a second portion connected to the second steering shaft. A mutual relative rotation between the first and second steering shafts is obtainable by an angular mechanical play between the first and second portions, the mechanical member being adapted to assume a first state in which a first angular mechanical play is provided between the first and second portions. An angular displacement between the first and second steering shafts is controlled, in response to an indication of the lateral acceleration, such that the mechanical member assumes a second state in which a second angular mechanical play is provided between the first and second portions.
Steering system and vehicle
A steering system and a vehicle are provided. The steering system includes a steering wheel end shaft, a steering device end shaft, and an electric driving mechanism configured to drive decoupling or coupling of the steering wheel end shaft and the steering device end shaft that are coaxially disposed.
CENTERING TORQUE FOR PROMOTING STEERING STABILITY
A vehicle includes a motor coupled to steered wheels by a differential. A steering mechanism is coupled to the steered wheels and changes the steering angle of the steered wheels in response to torque applied to a steering column. A power assistance actuator facilitates turning of the steered wheels, such as by amplifying torque applied by the driver to the steering wheel, which amplified torque is converted into a transverse force to turn the steered wheels. The assistance torque commanded from the power assistance actuator may be determined based on (a) a driver torque applied by the drive to steering wheel and (b) a small (e.g., less than 4 Nm) centering torque that urges the steered wheels to a central position. The centering torque may increase with increasing motor torque, increase with increasing steering wheel angle, and decrease with increasing vehicle speed.
