Synchronized steering control systems for forklifts

A steer-by-wire control system adapted for use with a material handling vehicle such as a forklift includes a controller programmed to receive input indicative of a desired direction of travel of the material handling vehicle and to control an actuator coupled with the steered wheels of the material handling vehicle to change the direction of travel of the vehicle and synchronize the direction of travel with a position of a steering wheel of the material handling vehicle.

Linear actuator for rear axle steering on a motor vehicle

The disclosure relates to a linear actuator, the housing of which encloses a pushrod which is guided displaceably along a longitudinal axis. The linear actuator includes a linear travel sensor intended for determining a position of the pushrod. A housing-side position receiver of the linear travel sensor includes a receiver section extending along the longitudinal axis, and a pushrod-side position transmitter that interacts contactlessly with the position receiver. The position transmitter is made from an electrically conductive material, and a transmitter contour of the linear travel sensor is curved about at least one dimensional axis.

A steering drive includes an electric motor with a motor shaft and a steering lever rotatable about a pivot axis. A first planetary stage has a first sun gear, first planet gears, a first ring gear, and a first planet carrier. A final planetary stage has a final sun gear, final planet gears, a final ring gear, and a final planet carrier. A force flow runs from the motor shaft to the first sun gear, and from the first sun gear via the first planet gears to the first planet carrier and to the first ring gear. The force flow runs via the final sun gear and via the final planet gears to the final ring gear, runs from the first ring gear and from the final ring gear to the steering lever, and runs via a first sun gear shaft from the electric motor to the first sun gear.

Motor vehicle

A motor vehicle includes two vehicle wheels, which are arranged on a common vehicle axis, and two single wheel suspension devices of an active chassis, via which the vehicle wheels are each connected to an engine vehicle body. The single wheel suspension devices each have a shock damper, which can be fluidically connected to an engine pump unit to vary the damping behavior. The engine pump unit is arranged in the area of the common vehicle axis. The engine pump unit and a further device arranged in the area of the vehicle axis are arranged off-center in the vehicle transverse direction. The engine pump unit is arranged spaced apart from the further device in the vehicle transverse direction.
