Steering control device
A steering control device includes a control circuit that controls a steering device. The control circuit is configured to execute an end-abutting relaxation control to correct a current command value such that decrease in an end interval angle is restricted, when the end interval angle is equal to or smaller than a predetermined angle, the end interval angle indicating the distance of an absolute steer angle from an end position correspondence angle. The control circuit is configured to perform a slewing intention determination of whether it is intended to perform the slewing travel of a vehicle during the execution of the end-abutting relaxation control. The control circuit is configured to perform a partial release control to reduce a correction amount of the current command value in the execution of the end-abutting relaxation control when it is determined that it is intended to perform the slewing travel of the vehicle.
Steer-by-wire steering systems for vehicles and related methods
Steer-by-wire steering systems for vehicles and related methods are described herein. An example steer-by-wire steering system includes a steering wheel angle sensor to detect a current steering wheel angle (α) of a steering wheel of the motor vehicle, a steering actuator to generate a variable steering torque on a steerable wheel of the motor vehicle, a steering angle sensor to detect a current steering angle (β) of the steerable wheel, and a steer-by-wire controller to process signals from the steering wheel angle sensor and the steering angle sensor and control the steering actuator based on the signals. The steer-by-wire controller is configured to vary a transmission ratio between a change in the steering wheel angle (α) and a change in the steering angle (β).
Steering angle limiting device of steer-by-wire system
Disclosed herein is a device for selectively limiting both rotational directions of a steering wheel, and provided is a steering angle limiting device of a steer-by-wire (SBW) system including a stopping gear configured to be rotated together with a steering shaft; a cam configured to receive a rotational force of an actuator and to be eccentrically rotated; and a stopper configured to be rotated in response to rotational operation of the cam and selectively engaged with gear teeth of the stopping gear, thereby restricting selectively forward and reverse directional rotations of the stopping gear.
ACTUATOR OF A STEERING SYSTEM OF A MOTOR VEHICLE
An actuator of a steering system of a motor vehicle, having a connecting rod which is longitudinally movable in a housing along an actuating path between axial stops and which penetrates the housing and is connectable at one end to a toe link for the articulation of wheels, the stops of which are arranged axially one behind the other and face each other axially. The stops and a stopper interacting with the two stops are located inside the housing.
