MUD FLAP LIFTER
The present invention relates to a mud flap lifting system for raising and lowering a pair of mud flaps connected to a rear portion of a vehicle and suspended behind corresponding rear wheels of the vehicle, which is particularly beneficial for use on dump trucks. The lifting system raises the rear mud flaps to a safe position when the truck is reversing or on unstable soil or is dumping its load. The mud flaps may thereafter be lowered via an associated control switch in the cab of the truck so that the truck may travel from the job site.
Mud flap system
A mud flap system for a tractor is described. The mud flap system includes brackets that clamp or secure to a frame of the tractor. Lateral extensions engage to the brackets to support covers over a top surface of rear wheels of the tractor.
Fastening support for mudguard and mudguard arrangement
A mudguard fastening support is intended to connect the mudguard to a hub of a turning wheel. In a normal turning position, the mudguard turns with the wheel. The mudguard fastening support has a flexible structure in such a manner that a stop element prevents the mudguard from turning along with the wheel at an angle that is larger than a specific turning angle. With the flexible structure the mudguard is returned to turn with the wheel at an angle that is smaller than said specific turning angle. The mudguard fastening support has a turning sleeve to be fixed to the mudguard and a support element to be fixed to the hub of the wheel. The turning sleeve and support element have form surfaces facing each other, one of which forms a support surface and the other forms a mating surface. The support surface has a tip part with a rounded peak toward the mating surface. The mating surface has an operating position recess which is furthest away from the support surface and to which in a normal operating situation the tip part is to be arranged, and adjacent to the operating position recess, a bevelled surface.
Tire skirt system with window for compactor machine
A tire skirt system configured for attachment to a vehicle is disclosed. The system may include a first skirt bracket adapted for attachment to the vehicle, a skirt panel having a first edge adapted for attachment to the first skirt bracket, and a transparent window in the first skirt bracket, the window having an outside face and an inside face. The window may be aligned with at least a portion of a tire when the tire skirt system is attached to the vehicle.
Dual purpose pivot row crop tire guard
An apparatus is configured for use with a ground-engaging wheel of a device configured to move in a travel direction. The apparatus includes a guard and bracket assembly, wherein the guard is configured to be movable over the wheel. The guard has forward portion, a back portion, and a width substantially covering a width of the wheel. The guard is configured to be movable over the wheel from a first position to a second position. In the first position, the forward portion of the guard is disposed proximate an upper portion of the wheel and the back portion of the guard is disposed proximate a rear portion of the wheel relative to the travel direction. In the second position, the forward portion of the guard is disposed proximate a front portion of the wheel and the back portion of the guard is disposed proximate an upper portion of the wheel.
Retractable row crop tire guard
A tire guard for a wheel of an agricultural vehicle includes a fender having a first width substantially covering a width of the wheel and a crop shield having a forward area and a back area. A first bracket connects the fender to the wheel and a second bracket connects the crop shield to the wheel. The crop shield is movable over the fender between a first position and a second position. In the first position, the forward area of the crop shield is disposed proximate an upper portion of the wheel and the back area of the crop shield is disposed proximate a rear portion of the wheel. In the second position, the forward area of the crop shield is disposed proximate a front portion of the wheel and the back area of the crop shield is disposed proximate an upper portion of the wheel.
Retractable tangential debris deflector for vehicle occupant safety
An embodiment of a retractable debris deflector that interrupts the path of road debris thrown up at a tangential angle by a vehicle's rotating wheel. The deflector is conformally shaped to a wheel well cavity and is rotationally attached out of sight within the wheel well cavity at two points on an underside of a vehicle's body panel. The deflector moves along an arched path between a retracted position within the wheel well cavity that is parallel to the wheel's typical direction of rotation and an extended position substantially out from the wheel well cavity that is partially perpendicular to the wheel's direction of rotation. The deflector is releasably latched into place at the desired position and a force applied to the deflector will allow the deflector to be moved along its arched travel path either towards the extended or back to the retracted position.
Metallic debris collection system
A metallic debris collection system includes a vehicle that has at least one mud flap and a cab. The at least one mud flap has a distal edge with respect to the vehicle. The distal edge is suspended above the support surface. A collection unit is removably coupled to the at least one mud flap and the collection unit is suspended above the support surface. The collection unit is electrically coupled to the vehicle such that the collection unit generates a magnetic field. Thus, the collection unit magnetically attracts magnetic objects from the support surface while the vehicle is driven. Thus, the magnetic objects are inhibited from puncturing a tire.
LUGGAGE COMPARTMENTS FOR VEHICLES
A motor vehicle having an outer bodywork surface including front and rear wheel arches and at least one passenger or driver door on each side of the vehicle, in which a luggage compartment is provided on at least one side of the vehicle, each luggage compartment being located within the outer surface and forwardly of the rear wheel arch, the luggage compartment having an opening which extends at least partially over the top of the luggage compartment and which is closable with a hinged panel, the panel forming part of the outer bodywork surface of the vehicle and having a hinge which is located behind the rear of the luggage compartment and towards the rear of the vehicle.
Mud flap system with universal adapter
The mudflap system with universal adapter is centered on a bracket. The bracket includes optional inserts that can be added or removed to change the size of the bracket recess. By changing the size of the bracket recess, a single bracket may be used on multiple sizes of ball mountthe ball mount being portion of the vehicle's hitch system that generally protrudes from the receiver, accepting trailer coupler to connect to the trailer. The bracket includes tab recesses interface with tabs present on the inserts. The tabs and associated recesses act to align the inserts with the bracket and prevent over-insertion, thereby preventing the inserts from falling out during assembly. After placement of an insert within the bracket, threaded fasteners are used to clamp the bracket to the ball mount and to hold the inserts in position.
