Aerodynamic system and adjustable fairings
Embodiments provide an aerodynamic fairing system that may comprise a base configured to mount to a vehicle, an arm coupled to the base at a proximate end and extending laterally, an a fairing mounted to the arm having an inboard and an outboard surface. The fairing outboard surface may provide an aerodynamic outer surface to direct flow to an angle to the rear. The arm may a fixed or adjustable length arm. The arm may provide a mounting area for a mud flap such that aerodynamic system may act as a mud flap hanger. Embodiments also provide an adjustable mud flap hanger.
MUD FLAP LIFTER
The present invention relates to a mud flap lifting system for raising and lowering a pair of mud flaps connected to a rear portion of a vehicle and suspended behind corresponding rear wheels of the vehicle, which is particularly beneficial for use on dump trucks. The lifting system raises the rear mud flaps to a safe position when the truck is reversing or on unstable soil or is dumping its load. The mud flaps may thereafter be lowered via an associated control switch in the cab of the truck so that the truck may travel from the job site.
Metallic debris collection system
A metallic debris collection system includes a vehicle that has at least one mud flap and a cab. The at least one mud flap has a distal edge with respect to the vehicle. The distal edge is suspended above the support surface. A collection unit is removably coupled to the at least one mud flap and the collection unit is suspended above the support surface. The collection unit is electrically coupled to the vehicle such that the collection unit generates a magnetic field. Thus, the collection unit magnetically attracts magnetic objects from the support surface while the vehicle is driven. Thus, the magnetic objects are inhibited from puncturing a tire.
MUDGUARD STRUCTURE FOR A VEHICLE
A mudguard structure for a vehicle includes a mounting stay hanger mounted on a chassis frame of the vehicle, a mudguard mounted on the mounting stay hanger, and a lamp mounted on the mounting stay hanger adjacent to the mudguard.
Aerodynamic system and adjustable fairings
Embodiments provide an aerodynamic fairing system that may comprise a base configured to mount to a vehicle, an arm coupled to the base at a proximate end and extending laterally, and a fairing mounted to the arm having an inboard and an outboard surface. The fairing outboard surface may provide an aerodynamic outer surface to direct flow to an angle to the rear. The arm may be a fixed or adjustable length arm. The arm may provide a mounting area for a mud flap such that aerodynamic system may act as a mud flap hanger. Embodiments also provide an adjustable mud flap hanger.
Mud flap system with universal adapter
The mudflap system with universal adapter is centered on a bracket. The bracket includes optional inserts that can be added or removed to change the size of the bracket recess. By changing the size of the bracket recess, a single bracket may be used on multiple sizes of ball mountthe ball mount being portion of the vehicle's hitch system that generally protrudes from the receiver, accepting trailer coupler to connect to the trailer. The bracket includes tab recesses interface with tabs present on the inserts. The tabs and associated recesses act to align the inserts with the bracket and prevent over-insertion, thereby preventing the inserts from falling out during assembly. After placement of an insert within the bracket, threaded fasteners are used to clamp the bracket to the ball mount and to hold the inserts in position.
Mud flap assembly
A mud flap assembly is arranged behind a wheel of a vehicle to block mud, water, and/or debris from being thrown into the air. The mud flap assembly includes a bracket and a mud flap. The bracket couples the mud flap assembly with the vehicle. The mud flap extends downwardly away from the bracket.
Mud flap and step assembly
A mud flap assembly has a bracket hanger and a mud flap. The bracket hanger has a body extending from a first end and a second end. The first end of the bracket hanger has a shape complementary to a bore of a receiver's maintube that extends along a width of the vehicle. The mud flap is connected to and extends downward from the bracket hanger. A coupler has a first end and a coupler bore opposite the first end. The first end of the coupler is complementary to an end of a maintube of a second vehicle. The coupler bore is complementary to the first end of the bracket hanger.
Mud flaps, mud flap kits, mud flap accessories, and methods of making and using the same
Mud flaps having one or more decorative and functional accessories attached to the mud flaps, mud flap kits for forming decorative and functional mud flaps, and mud flap accessories suitable for use with and attachment to mud flaps are provided. Methods of making decorative and functional mud flaps, mud flap kits for forming decorative and functional mud flaps, and mud flap accessories are also provided. Methods of using decorative and functional mud flaps, mud flap kits for forming decorative and functional mud flaps, and mud flap accessories on mud flaps, for example, on a truck having 18 wheels, are also provided.
