CARGO BED EXTENSION SYSTEM
A cargo bed extension system includes a tub of a cargo bed. The tub is configured to transition back-and-forth between a standard position and an extended position. The tub is closer to a cab of a vehicle when the tub is in the standard position than when the tub is in the extended position. A panel is oriented vertically when the tub is in the standard position and is oriented horizontally when the tub is in the extended position. The panel provides a floor section between the cab and the tub when the tub is in the extended position.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ACCESSING MOTOR VEHICLE CARGO SPACES
Various vehicle systems are proposed for facilitating access to and utilization of motor vehicle cargo spaces. The vehicle systems may include deployable stairgate systems, deployable step systems, cargo bed swing door systems, etc. The vehicle systems allow the cargo spaces to be accessed from a variety of positions relative to the cargo space.

System and method for operating a power tailgate system
A system for controlling a vehicle power tailgate includes a latch structured to be movable to a latching position when the latch is engaged with a portion of a tailgate so as to maintain the tailgate in a closed position associated with the latching position of the latch. A latch actuator operably connected to the latch to control operation of the latch. A memory is communicably coupled to the processor and stores a tailgate control module including instructions that when executed by a processor cause the processor to, responsive to receipt of a tailgate opening command, control operation of the latch actuator to attempt move the latch to an over-stroke position of the latch and, responsive to a failure to move the latch to the over-stroke position within a predetermined time period, control operation of the latch actuator to move the latch to a fully-latched position of the latch.

Integrated ramp truck tailgate apparatus
An integrated ramp truck tailgate apparatus for convenient loading and offloading includes a tailgate body pivotably coupled to a bed of a pickup truck. The tailgate body has a body inner face with a ramp cavity. A first ramp panel has a first proximal edge pivotably coupled to the ramp cavity adjacent a body distal edge. The first ramp panel moves between a first folded position within the ramp cavity and a first extended position extending from the body distal edge towards the ground. A second ramp panel has a second proximal edge pivotably coupled to a first distal edge of the first ramp panel. The second ramp panel moves between a second folded position on top of the first ramp panel within the ramp cavity and a second extended position extending coplanar from the first ramp panel in the first extended position to the ground.

Vehicles having pivotable and rotatable tailgate members
A vehicle including a bed, a plurality of sidewalls extending from the bed in a transversely spaced relationship, and a tailgate member. The bed and the plurality of sidewalls define a cargo space and an end opening into the cargo space. The tailgate member extends across the end opening between the plurality of sidewalls and is pivotally coupled to the plurality of sidewalls via a plurality of hinges. The plurality of hinges provide rotational movement of the power tailgate member from a vehicle inward position to a vehicle outward position such that the power tailgate member has a range of motion of up to 270°. The power tailgate member includes one or more sensors positioned to capture one or more of information pertaining to one or more objects on the bed of the vehicle and information pertaining to a rear of the vehicle.
