The cultured gum base ingredients described herein may comprise one or more terpenoid compounds, such as triterpenoid acetates and polyisoprene. The method of producing the gum base ingredients comprises culturing in a culture medium of a plurality of plant cells derived from a plant that produces a gum base ingredient.
