Track shoe having increased service life useful in a track drive system
A track shoe for a track drive system, which comprises a shoe base, one or more drive lugs attached to the shoe base, and a wear plate attached to the shoe base. The shoe base and drive lugs may be formed from a prehardened engineering steel, such as MECASTEEL 145. The wear plate may be formed from MECASTEEL 145 or an advanced abrasion-resistant steel, such as Creusabro 8000. The drive lugs may be replaceably attached to the shoe base, preferably by welding. The wear plate may be replaceably attached to the shoe base, preferably by fasteners such as bolts.
Explosively depth hardened crawler shoes
A method of making a crawler shoe for a mobile machine having a track assembly is disclosed. The method may include casting a crawler shoe from manganese steel, the crawler shoe having at least one wear surface that engages the track assembly. The method may further include solution treating the crawler shoe to form fully austenitic manganese steel, applying an explosive material to the at least one wear surface, and detonating the explosive material.
Traction chain for a caterpillar chain of a tracked vehicle, and kit for a caterpillar chain
A traction chain for a caterpillar chain of a tracked vehicle. The traction chain is equipped with an engagement member for a driving wheel, with track guide elements, which are provided to guide a running gear of the tracked vehicle in a track, on an inner side of the traction chain, running in a running direction of the traction chain, and with a multiplicity of attachment members, each of which is provided to attach a caterpillar cleat to an outer side of the traction chain and transversely in relation to the running direction of the traction chain. The traction chain is provided for use with a lateral chain running parallel therewith, the traction chain furthermore is formed partially from an elastic base material, into which at least one traction member is embedded, extending in a running direction of the traction chain.
Undercarriage assembly and track links for assembly
An undercarriage assembly for a mobile machine includes a continuous track having a plurality of mated track links that can translate with respect to the machine. Each track link may include a shoe portion and a body portion. The body portion includes a plurality of projecting pin lugs each having a pin bore to receive a bin and link adjacent track links together. The pin lugs can include a pair of sprocket lugs for making rolling contact with a sprocket, a pair of roller lugs for making rolling contact with a plurality of rollers, and a side lug having a protruding shoulder to assist in aligning the plurality of rollers.
ROLLER SYSTEM FOR MACHINE UNDERCARRIAGE
A roller system for a tracked undercarriage is disclosed. The roller system includes an interconnected track shoe series. A first roller series is configured to engage a first plurality of non-adjacent track shoes of the interconnected track shoe series. A second roller series is configured to engage a second plurality of non-adjacent track shoes of the interconnected track shoe series. Rollers of the first roller series are independently mounted relative to rollers of the second roller series. Non-adjacent track shoes of the first plurality are between non-adjacent track shoes of the second plurality.
Crawler track
A shoe for a crawler track includes a first end, a second end, a longitudinal axis extending between the first and second ends, a roller path axis extending perpendicular to the longitudinal axis, and an intermediate portion disposed between the first and second ends. The intermediate portion includes a roller-engaging portion disposed along the roller path axis, the intermediate portion including four successive faces that form a parallelogram when viewed from a direction substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis, two of the four faces being disposed at an acute angle relative to the longitudinal axis.
Crawler track
A crawler track includes a link and is driven in a direction of travel by a sprocket having a plurality of teeth. The link includes a pad, a first grouser, and a second grouser. The pad defines a first surface, a second surface opposite the first surface, a first end, and a second end spaced apart from the first end along the direction of travel. The pad defines at least one opening extending through the pad between the first surface and the second surface, and the opening is operable to receive a sprocket tooth. The first grouser is positioned on the first surface proximate the first end of the pad, while the second grouser is positioned on the first surface proximate the second end of the pad. The first grouser and the second grouser extend in a direction substantially perpendicular to the direction of travel of the track.
Crawler web
A crawler web for a crawler chain of a crawler vehicle, in particular a snow vehicle, is proposed, wherein the crawler web comprises a base rail which is attachable releasably to the crawler chain, a track bracket which is provided for guiding the crawler chain on a chassis of the crawler vehicle, and a tread element which is provided for arrangement on a ground contact side of the crawler chain and for engagement in an underlying surface. According to the invention, the track bracket and the tread element are formed integrally, wherein the tread element is extended over a large part of a length in the longitudinal direction of the base rail.
Non-carburized components of track-type machines having a metallurgically bonded coating
Undercarriage assembly components of track-type machines having a metallurgically bonded wear-resistant coating and methods for forming such coated undercarriage assembly components is taught herein. The bodies of the undercarriage assembly components, formed of an iron-based alloy, have a hard metal alloy slurry disposed on a surface or into an undercut or channel and then fused to form a metallurgical bond with the iron-based alloy. The wear-resistant coating comprises a fused, metal alloy comprising at least 60% iron, cobalt, nickel, or alloys thereof. The portion of the outer surface of the undercarriage assembly components having the wear-resistant coating corresponds to a wear surface of the component during operation of the endless track of the track-type vehicle.
