To prevent vertical vibration of track rollers as much as possible when transferring between overhanging portions of each core metal while securing the flexibility of a crawler main body.

The present invention includes core metals 10 embedded in a crawler main body 9 at substantially equal intervals, and rolling paths 12, 13 for track rollers arranged on both sides in a crawler width direction of an anti-tread side of the crawler main body 9, and includes overhanging portions 24 to 27 on both sides in a crawler rotation direction of each core metal 10, overhanging from each core metal 10 toward both sides in the crawler rotation direction to support each of the rolling paths 12, 13. The respective overhanging portions 24 to 27 corresponding to the respective rolling paths 12, 13 of each core metal 10 are arranged such that at least tip portions are arranged so as to shift in the crawler width direction within a width of each rolling path 12, 13. Of each of the core metals 10, the overhanging portion 25 of one core metal 10 and the overhanging portion 26 of the other core metal 10 are arranged such that their tips are close to each other or overlap with each other in the crawler rotation direction.

An endless track for propelling a snowmobile. The endless track includes an inner drive surface and an outer ground-engaging surface opposite to the inner drive surface. A first side surface is opposite to a second side surface. A plurality of first side lugs are adjacent to the first side surface. A plurality of second side lugs are adjacent to the second side surface. The plurality of first side lugs and the plurality of second side lugs provide traction when the snowmobile is operated off-axis and tilted on its side as well as provides traction surfaces on additional planes other than the outer carcass of the endless track when the track is submerged in the snow.

Track system

Track system to be mounted on a vehicle in place of a rotatable OEM tire/wheel assembly, including: A frame. A drive wheel is rotatably mounted on the frame, operatively connectable to the drive shaft of the vehicle, and has a diameter of between 65% and 100% of the OEM tire diameter. Leading and trailing idler wheel assemblies are mounted on the frame. An endless track having an inner surface is disposed around the drive wheel, the leading and trailing idler wheel assemblies. The endless track has an unsupported portion between the drive wheel and one of the leading and trailing idler wheel assemblies. The unsupported portion has a length and a center. The unsupported portion deflects a distance of between 8% and 12% of its length on application of a 25-lb. force at its center.
