ENDLESS TRACK FOR A TRACK SYSTEM AND TRACK SYSTEM COMPRISING SAME
An endless track for a track system is disclosed. The endless track includes a carcass and a belting member disposed in the carcass. The carcass is free of reinforcing member, and includes inner and outer surfaces, first and second lateral edges, a plurality of central lugs extending from the inner surface and a plurality of traction projections extending from the outer surface. Each central lug of the plurality of central lugs is longitudinally spaced from one another, and the plurality of central lugs are configured to engage with a driving wheel assembly. The plurality of traction projections is configured to engage with a ground surface, and at least some of the plurality of traction projections defines outer recesses. A track system including the endless track is also disclosed.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MONITORING VEHICLES
Monitoring vehicles comprising track systems or tires to obtain information regarding the vehicle, including information regarding the track systems or tires, such as an indication of a level of wear, a rupture like a break, a puncture, chunking, de-bonding, etc., which can be used for various purposes, such as, for example, to convey the information to a user (e.g., the operator); control the vehicle (e.g., a speed of the vehicle, operation of a work implement, etc.); transmit the information to a remote party (e.g., a provider such as a manufacturer or distributor of the track systems or tires); etc.
Band track with fiber reinforced living hinges
A band track including a band having an inner surface, an outer surface, a first side face, and a second side face; a plurality of teeth extending from the inner surface and spaced apart circumferentially around the inner surface; a plurality of lugs extending from the outer surface and each spaced a distance apart circumferentially around the outer surface; a plurality of living hinges defined within the band circumferentially between each of the plurality of teeth; and at least one fiber-reinforcement disposed circumferentially within a neutral plane of the plurality of living hinges and a method of making the same.
TRACK SYSTEM FOR TRACTION OF A VEHICLE
A track system for a vehicle on a ground, wherein the track system is reconfigurable, such as by rearranging or otherwise altering one or more components of the track system (e.g., wheels, pivots or other joints, frame members, etc., by changing their position, movability, etc.) and/or by repositioning the track system relative to a frame of the vehicle, which may be useful, for instance, to enhance performance of the vehicle (e.g., maximize or otherwise increase traction and/or pulling force (e.g., drawbar pull); improve steerability; etc.), ride quality (e.g., comfort), effects on the ground (e.g., minimize or otherwise reduce soil compaction and/or soil shear stress; provide headland protection; etc.), and/or other aspects of the track system and/or the vehicle, and/or for various other purposes.
MONITORING OF TRACK SYSTEM FOR TRACTION OF A VEHICLE
A vehicle with a track system including a track for traction of the vehicle on a ground can be monitored (e.g., during operation of the vehicle) to obtain information regarding the vehicle, including information regarding the track system, such as a temperature and/or another characteristic of a wheel of the track system sensed by a sensor associated with that wheel, which can be used to inform a user (e.g., an operator of the vehicle) and/or control the vehicle (e.g., a speed of the vehicle), for properly aligning the track and/or other purposes. This may be useful, for example, to help prevent rapid wear or other deterioration of the track and/or for various other reasons.
Track kit
A track kit for a vehicle (2), having two track assemblies (1,1′), each track assembly having an endless track (5), a front idler wheel (8), an intermediate support member (6) with at least one track engaging element (7), a rear idler wheel (9), a drive wheel (10), at least one swing arm (11,12) and a shock absorber connecting assembly (13,14), wherein the endless track (5) has an external side featuring ground lugs (15) for ground engagement and an internal side featuring drive lugs (16) for engagement with the drive wheel (10), and the internal side is circumferentially trained around and in contact with the front idler wheel (8).
TETHERED TEMPERATURE SENSOR FOR USE IN RUBBER EMBEDDED APPLICATIONS
One general aspect includes a tethered temperature sensor for use within a vehicle track. The tethered temperature sensor includes one or more sensors for measuring temperature located in a high strain and high temperature region of the vehicle track. The sensor also includes circuitry configured to control and/or monitor the one or more sensors and located in a low strain and low temperature region of the vehicle track. The sensor also includes a housing to contain the circuitry. The sensor also includes an encapsulating material that fills an interior of the housing.
WHEEL OF TRACK SYSTEM FOR TRACTION OF A VEHICLE
A wheel of a track system for traction of a vehicle (e.g., an agricultural vehicle) may be configured to protect a track of the track system by reducing stress induced in the track by the wheel. For example, a circumferential surface of the wheel may be uneven (e.g., curved) in a widthwise direction of the wheel (e.g., to have a crown) and/or a covering of the wheel may be asymmetrical about a midpoint of the covering in the widthwise direction of the wheel (e.g., include corners that are shaped differently).
ENDLESS TRACK ASSEMBLY FOR SUPPORTING AN IMPLEMENT OR VEHICLE
A track assembly includes an elongated main frame supported for pivotal movement on a transverse axis and having opposite end portions supporting a set of end wheels. An endless flexible belt extends around the end wheels and has an upper run and a lower run for engaging the ground. A plurality of longitudinally spaced bogie wheels are positioned below the main frame and engage the lower run of the belt. The bogie wheels are carried by bogie frames supported for vertical movement and also for tilting movement relative to a plane defined by the axes of the end wheels. The bogie frames are urged or biased downwardly against the lower run of the belt by compression members extending from the main frame and preferably in the form of annular rubber spring members.
Track assembly for power machine
Track assemblies (242; 300) for power machines (100; 200) include a track frame (243; 302), including a primary portion (304) and a second portion (306) moveable with respect to the primary portion. A plurality of rollers (248; 316) are positioned along the primary portion of the track frame relative to each other and the center of gravity of the power machine to provide an improved capability to compensate for vibration generated as the power machine moves over a support surface. In some aspects, a portion of a tensioning idler (e.g., 310) is positioned within a cylinder defined by one of the plurality of rollers.
