Provided are an elastic crawler and a crawler-type travel device in which wheel detachment and edge cut are unlikely to occur even when performing operations inside a large cylindrical structure or on a ground surface that is highly curved. An elastic crawler (1) has a crawler body (2) comprising an endless elastic body depressed by roller wheels having left and right tread surfaces, a plurality of lugs (4) being disposed on the ground-contact surface (7) of the crawler body (2). On one side portion in relation to the center position in the crawler width direction on the ground-contact surface side of the crawler body (2), outward of a tread surface (11c) which is the inner side of the roller wheels in the crawler width direction, toward the vicinity of one side end edge in the crawler width direction from a position within a range inward of a tread surface (11a) which is the outer side, a distance (dp) in the height direction of the tread surface (11a) which is the outer side is gradually reduced, whereby an inclined surface (7a) is formed such that the crawler thickness is gradually reduced, and due to this configuration, the inclined surface does not contact the ground when travelling on a flat surface.

SNOWMOBILE

A snowmobile comprises a chassis with a front portion and a tunnel, and a power train unit supported by the chassis. The snowmobile further includes a plurality of ground-engaging members cooperating with the power train unit to operate the snowmobile. The plurality of ground-engaging members includes a pair of front skis and an endless track assembly. The snowmobile also includes a front suspension operably coupled to the pair of front skis. The snowmobile also includes a rear suspension operably coupled to the track. The rear suspension includes slide rails and track sliders for engaging the track. The track sliders are comprised of a first and second retention members for coupling with the slide rail. The retention members are comprised of a plurality of recesses where material is removed for light weighting.

Rubber track chain segment

METHOD AND DEVICE FOR DETERMINING POTENTIAL DAMAGE OF AN ENDLESS TRACK OF A TRACKED VEHICLE
20240190523 · 2024-06-13 · ·

Disclosed is a method and device for determining potential damage of an endless track of a tracked vehicle. Said vehicle comprises at least one track assembly comprising a drive wheel member, a tension wheel member, a set of road wheels and said endless track disposed around said wheels. Said endless track is rotated by means of said drive wheel member during drive. The method comprises the steps of: receiving, from at least one sensor, measurement information associated with vibrations of said endless track; based on the information received from said at least one sensor, determining if there is a natural frequency of said endless track and if so determining the natural frequency of said endless track; and, based on the determination associated with natural frequency, determining whether there is a potential damage to the endless track.
