The crankshaft is provided to the first portion of the housing. The propulsion assist motor is provided to the second portion of the housing. The propulsion assist has a rotational axis extending in a direction intersecting with a direction in which the crankshaft extends. A maximum dimension of the first portion in the direction in which the crankshaft extends is less than or equal to 100 mm. A maximum output torque of the propulsion assist motor is greater than or equal to 10 Nm and less than or equal to 80 Nm.
BICYCLE DRIVE UNIT
A method for mounting a bicycle drive unit to a frame of a bicycle, in which the bicycle drive unit includes a housing, a crankshaft and a propulsion assist motor. The housing has a first portion and a second portion. The crankshaft is provided to the first portion. The propulsion assist motor is provided to the second portion and includes a rotational axis extending in a direction intersecting a direction in which the crankshaft extends. The method includes a first step of arranging the first portion at a position for mounting the first portion on the frame, and a second step of rotating the housing about an axis parallel to a rotational axis of the crankshaft and inserting the second portion into an opening of the frame after the first step.
BICYCLE COMPONENT
A bicycle component includes a drive unit and a battery. The drive unit includes a housing mounted on a bicycle frame, a crankshaft provided to a first portion of the housing, and a propulsion assist motor provided to a second portion of the housing. The battery is electrical connected to the propulsion assist motor to supply electrical power to the propulsion assist motor. The propulsion assist motor includes a rotational axis extending in a direction intersecting a direction in which the crankshaft extends. At least part of the second portion and at least part of the battery are accommodated in the frame in a state in which the second portion and the battery are arranged next to each other in a direction parallel to the rotational axis of the propulsion assist motor and the battery is coupled to the second portion in an attachable and detachable manner.
CASSETTE AND BODY FOR MOUNTING A CASSETTE ON A BICYCLE REAR WHEEL HUB
A cassette adapted for mounting on a bicycle rear wheel hub and a by a mounting body for positioning the assembly on a bicycle rear wheel hub. The cassette has a plurality of adjacent sprockets fixedly connected to one another along an axis of the cassette. The cassette has an axial centering opening for centering on the mounting body without transmission of torque, and a plurality of attachment areas positioned a greater radial distance from the axis of the cassette than the radius of the centering opening for attachment to the mounting body.
Connecting device for chainring of bicycle
A connecting device for a chainring of a bicycle is disclosed, including a connecting disc, a shaft, and a crank. The connecting disc is adapted to be engaged with a chainring, and has an axial bore, a bulging portion bulging from a central portion of the connecting disc, and a surrounding portion, which is flat, and surrounds an outer periphery of the bulging portion. The shaft passes through the axial bore to be fixedly engaged with the connecting disc. The shaft has a connecting end. The crank has a connecting end engaged with the connecting end of the shaft, and a bearing end adapted to bear an external force to make the crank rotate around the shaft. Whereby, the amount of materials used to make the connecting device is decreased. At the same time, the manufacturing cost, the size, and the weight of the connecting device are all reduced.
Bicycle front derailleur
A bicycle front derailleur is basically provided with a base member, a chain guide and a chain restricting abutment. The base member is configured to be mounted on a bicycle frame. The chain guide is configured to be movably coupled to the base member between a retracted position and an extended position to move a bicycle chain. The chain restricting abutment is configured to restrict the bicycle chain from moving in a radially outward direction of a rotational center axis of a bicycle front sprocket when the base member is mounted on the bicycle frame and the chain guide moves from the extended position toward the retracted position.
BICYCLE GEAR SHIFTING SYSTEM
A bicycle front shifting system includes operable to transmit a wireless signal, a crank assembly with two crank arms and a pedal on each of the two crank arms. The crank assembly is rotatable about a rotation axis. A front shift unit is coupled to the crank assembly and is rotatable about the rotation axis. The front shift unit includes a chain ring component with a big chain ring and a small chain ring. The small chain ring has a small diameter and the big chain ring has a big diameter that is larger than the small diameter. A shift mechanism is coupled to and rotatable with the chain ring component about the rotation axis. The shift mechanism is configured to receive the wireless signal from the shifter and to shift a chain between the big chain ring and the small chain ring according to the wireless signal.
Front sprocket assembly for human-powered vehicle
A front sprocket assembly basically includes a front sprocket, a sprocket carrier and at least one slide shaft. The front sprocket includes a sprocket body having at least one carrier mounting portion. The at least one carrier mounting portion has the at least one slide opening. The sprocket carrier includes at least one sprocket mounting portion. The at least one sprocket mounting portion has a first shaft-supporting portion and a second shaft-supporting portion. The at least one slide opening receives the at least one slide shaft between the first shaft-supporting portion and the second shaft-supporting portion.
SPROCKET CARRIER AND MULTIPLE SPROCKET ARRANGEMENT
A multiple sprocket arrangement for rotatable mounting on a rear wheel axle may include a sprocket carrier. The sprocket carrier has a substantially uniform material thickness. The multiple sprocket arrangement includes smaller sprockets and larger sprockets. The sprocket carrier is formed so that at least three larger sprockets can be fastened to the carrier.
BICYCLE HUB ASSEMBLY
A bicycle hub assembly comprises a hub axle, a hub body, and a sprocket support body. The hub body includes a first spoke-mounting portion, a second spoke-mounting portion, and a first axial length.
