CONNECTING DEVICE FOR CHAINRING OF BICYCLE
A connecting device for a chainring of a bicycle is disclosed, including a connecting disc, a shaft, and a crank. The connecting disc is adapted to be engaged with a chainring, and has an axial bore, a bulging portion bulging from a central portion of the connecting disc, and a surrounding portion, which is flat, and surrounds an outer periphery of the bulging portion. The shaft passes through the axial bore to be fixedly engaged with the connecting disc. The shaft has a connecting end. The crank has a connecting end engaged with the connecting end of the shaft, and a bearing end adapted to bear an external force to make the crank rotate around the shaft. Whereby, the amount of materials used to make the connecting device is decreased. At the same time, the manufacturing cost, the size, and the weight of the connecting device are all reduced.
Multi sprocket arrangement with weld connection
A multi sprocket arrangement is configured for mounting on a driver of a bicycle wheel. The multi sprocket arrangement includes a plurality of adjacent sprockets each of the plurality of sprockets having a different number of teeth. The plurality of adjacent sprockets include a first sprocket having a first inner diameter which is larger than an outer diameter of a profile base of a carrier profile of the driver, and a second sprocket having a second inner diameter which is smaller than the outer diameter of the profile base of the carrier profile of the driver. The first sprocket and the second sprocket are connected together by welding.
Rear wheel sprocket arrangement
A bicycle rear wheel sprocket arrangement which is rotatable about a common sprocket rotation axis that defines an axial direction and orthogonal to which are radial directions, comprising a plurality of sprockets of different sizes and number of teeth arranged coaxially along the sprocket rotation axis, which are connected to one another such that the sprockets jointly rotate about the sprocket rotation axis together, wherein the sprocket arrangement comprises a first partial arrangement that includes a largest sprocket, and a second partial arrangement that includes a plurality of sprockets formed integrally with one another. One partial arrangement has a plurality of elastically deformable latching formations that are in latching engagement with a plurality of mating latching formations of the other partial arrangement to prevent the two partial arrangements from separating in the axial direction.
Bicycle chain rings with ramps
Disclosed are bicycle chain rings for bicycles having specially shaped ramps with lifting surfaces for improved up-shifting performance. Additional embodiments of the bicycle chain rings of the present invention may be configured with one or more additional features formed within the chain rings including a transition slide, a tapered ramp face, a ramp bridge, a ramp lead, a trailing transition slide and a wear pin.
BICYCLE FRONT SPROCKET
Methods and apparatus for a composite bicycle front sprocket are disclosed herein. One embodiment discloses a composite bicycle front sprocket assembly having an outer assembly of a first material. The bicycle front sprocket assembly also has a center assembly of a second material. The center assembly is disposed at least partially within the outer assembly. The center assembly is irremovably coupled with the outer assembly. The center assembly is irremovably coupled with the outer assembly without an external fastening device to irremovably couple the center assembly with the outer assembly.
BICYCLE FRONT DERAILEUR
A bicycle front derailleur is basically provided with a base member, a chain guide and a chain restricting abutment. The base member is configured to be mounted on a bicycle frame. The chain guide is configured to be movably coupled to the base member between a retracted position and an extended position to move a bicycle chain. The chain restricting abutment is configured to restrict the bicycle chain from moving in a radially outward direction of a rotational center axis of a bicycle front sprocket when the base member is mounted on the bicycle frame and the chain guide moves from the extended position toward the retracted position.
Bicycle crank assembly
A bicycle crank assembly is provided with a first sprocket, a second sprocket, a crank arm, a sprocket fixing structure and an alignment tube. The first sprocket includes a plurality of first teeth and at least one first mounting portion having a first mounting opening. The second sprocket includes a plurality of second teeth and at least one second mounting portion having a second mounting opening. The crank arm includes at least one sprocket attachment portion having a third mounting opening. The sprocket fixing structure secures the first and second sprockets to the crank arm via the first, second and third mounting openings. The alignment tube extends through at least two of the first, second and third mounting openings.
Bicycle sprocket and bicycle sprocket assembly
A method of making a bicycle sprocket having a rotational center axis basically includes providing an annular portion and forming a first tooth and a second tooth. The annular portion is made of a base material and has a plurality of teeth. At least one of the teeth is processed to form a first tooth, and at least one other of the teeth is processed to form a second tooth. The first tooth has a first axial chain engaging width that is smaller than a first axial spacing of an outer link of a bicycle chain and larger than a second axial spacing of an inner link that is coupled to an outer link. The second tooth is formed to have a second axial chain engaging width that is smaller than the second axial spacing. The second tooth is formed by deforming the base material.
Bicycle component
A bicycle component includes a drive unit and a battery. The drive unit includes a housing mounted on a bicycle frame, a crankshaft provided to a first portion of the housing, and a propulsion assist motor provided to a second portion of the housing. The battery is electrical connected to the propulsion assist motor to supply electrical power to the propulsion assist motor. The propulsion assist motor includes a rotational axis extending in a direction intersecting a direction in which the crankshaft extends. At least part of the second portion and at least part of the battery are accommodated in the frame in a state in which the second portion and the battery are arranged next to each other in a direction parallel to the rotational axis of the propulsion assist motor and the battery is coupled to the second portion in an attachable and detachable manner.
Chainring
A chainring is disclosed. The chainring includes a plurality of teeth about the outer perimeter of the chainring; and a chain retention feature at a root of one or more of the plurality of teeth and traversing at least a portion of a circumference of the chainring, the chain retention feature to align with at least a portion of a roller chain and assist in a retention of the roller chain on the chainring.
