A fishing system is disclosed. In one aspect, the fishing system includes a first fishing line segment terminating with a hook and a second fishing line segment terminating with a sinker. An attachment point can also be provided, wherein a first eyelet of the attachment point is slidably arranged on the first fishing line segment and a second eyelet of the attachment point is attached to the second fishing line segment. The fishing system can also include an immovable stopper attached to the first fishing line segment and a rigid or non-collapsing flexible tube spaced between the hook and the immovable stopper. In one aspect, the hook, stopper, and tube can move distally away from the first eyelet. The fishing system can also include a spherical ball spacer situated between the stopper and the first eyelet.

A line dampener is configured to reduce vibration in a fishing line. The line dampener includes a housing that has a top portion that smoothly descends to a front portion, a rear portion, a port portion and a starboard portion. A bottom portion smoothly ascends to a front portion, a rear portion, a port portion and a starboard portion. A tunnel perforates the housing. A fishing line passes through the tunnel. The housing reduces the vibration in the fishing line.

STEM GUIDES AND REPLACEABLE CARTRIDGES
20180360014 · 2018-12-20 ·

The invention relates to a method for adjusting the buoyancy of a fishing bobber. The method includes providing a buoyant member and a stem guide configured to receive the buoyant member, mounting the buoyant member to the stem guide and cutting the buoyant member. The buoyant member is made of a material capable of being severed by a cutting device and having first length, a lower end, and an upper end. The stem guide receives the buoyant member and a fishing line with fishing tackle. The buoyant member is cut such that the buoyant member has a second length shorter than the first length. The buoyant member is cut to a second length such that the buoyancy of the buoyant member when cut to a second length is enough to oppose the tendency of the stem guide and fishing tackle to submerse the buoyant member such that a top surface of the cut buoyant member is adjacent to the surface of the water when the stem guide, buoyant member, fishing line and any fishing tackle are placed in the water.
