BOAT AFT COCKPIT EXTENSION
20200130781 · 2020-04-30 ·

A cockpit extension that extends aft of a boat transom for increasing the afterdeck area of the boat. The cockpit extension includes a deck that can be accessed from the afterdeck of the boat and an under-face beneath the deck that can be above or below the water-line of the boat. The cockpit extension can also include one or more of a gunwale, inner bulkhead, and outer freeboard. A running surface can also be provided on the under-face that improves the backing down process of the boat. The boat has at least two outboard engines, attached on the port and starboard sides of the boat transom, respectively.

Folding, hard sided boat

A method of stowing a boat is disclosed. The boat may include three hull segments, namely a first hull segment, a second hull segment, and a third hull segment. The third hull segment may form the bow of the boat. The method may include separating the third hull segment from the other hull segments. Thereafter, one of the first hull segment and the second hull segment may be pivoted and inverted over onto the other such that the first hull segment and the second hull segment collectively form a clamshell enclosure. The relative sizing of the first, second, and third hull segments may be such that the third hull segment may be stored within an interior volume of the enclosure.

Tri-hull fishing kayak with elevated seat and foot-operated paddles
10618609 · 2020-04-14 ·

A tri-hull fishing kayak includes a platform, an elevated seat, a foot operated paddle, and a triple hull including two side pontoons and one forward central pontoon having a front portion and a rear portion. The front portion, extending centrally from the platform, provides enhanced longitudinal stability. The two side pontoons are of a width and separation to provide enhanced lateral stability. The tri-hull fishing kayak reduces the need to frequently re-position the kayak when there is wind and/or current, thereby minimizing interruptions to fishing. The elevated seat is ergonomic for long-term sitting, and is high enough above the water to facilitate effective pitching and casting underhand, and to permit a steeper viewing angle into the water, thereby making sight fishing easier. The foot-operated paddle can be used to precisely steer the kayak, and therefore frees up the user's hands for fishing. Further, the platform enables fishing while standing.

PONTOON BOAT

A pontoon boat includes port and starboard pontoons and cross members connecting the pontoons. A shock absorber may be installed at each point of connection of the pontoons to the cross members. A cross member may be embodied as a double-webbed beam having first and second parallel flanges and first and second webs disposed between and connected to the flanges. Each pontoon may include a two-stage lifting strake having a first surface and a second surface inclined from the first surface.

Structure for stabilizing a barrel on a pontoon vessel

A structure for stabilizing a barrel on a pontoon vessel includes a deck structure. First And second hull frame members are affixed to the deck structure and extend therealong. In spaced relationship to each other. A first and second conduit extends along a respective hull frame member; the first conduit being spaced from the second conduit by a distance to receive a portion of a barrel therebetween and each conduit contacting the barrel above a barrel central line. A strap having a first end anchored near the first conduit, and tracing a path from the anchor beneath, and in contact with, the barrel disposed between the first conduit in the second conduit, along the second conduit, and returning to the first conduit by tracing a path from the second conduit to the first conduit beneath and in contact with the barrel.

Pontoon boat with elevated front wave guard
10583902 · 2020-03-10 ·

A pontoon boat includes first and second pontoons on the port and starboard sides of the boat and a main deck attached to the top of the pontoons. A front wave deflector extends forwards and upwards from the front of the main deck at an angle. The front wave deflector is held above the water and does not contact the water while the pontoon boat is floating in or moving through calm water. The front wave deflector contacts the tops of waves when the pontoon boat is navigating rough water and pushes the water beneath the pontoon boat deck. This allows the pontoon boat to navigate rough water without loss of momentum and without excessive up and down pitching.

Underwater wings for providing lift to boats
10562592 · 2020-02-18 ·

The present invention relates generally to underwater wings for providing lift to boats. More particularly, the invention comprises an underwater wing that attaches to the hull or hulls of a pontoon or tri-toon boat. The purpose of the wing is to provide a designated amount of lift to reduce drag and improve performance of the watercraft. This is different from a traditional hydrofoil, which is designed to lift a boat completely out of the water.
