UNDERWATER WINGS FOR PROVIDING LIFT TO BOATS
20180304968 · 2018-10-25 ·

The present invention relates generally to underwater wings for providing lift to boats. More particularly, the invention comprises an underwater wing that attaches to the hull or hulls of a pontoon or tri-toon boat. The purpose of the wing is to provide a designated amount of lift to reduce drag and improve performance of the watercraft. This is different from a traditional hydrofoil, which is designed to lift a boat completely out of the water.

FLOATING WIND TURBINE PLATFORM

The disclosure relates to a floating wind turbine platform, comprising: a substantially triangular hull configurable to support a wind turbine tower; the hull comprising a first, second and third column, the first, second and third columns being connected by a first, second and third pontoon member, as well as by a first, second and third connector.

Multihull watercraft

A multihull watercraft has at least three hulls extending longitudinally along the watercraft. The hulls at least partly define a port side tunnel and a starboard side tunnel therebetween. A port deflection device is configured to engage water in response to the watercraft leaning toward the port side when turning. The port deflection device is laterally aligned with the port side tunnel. A starboard deflection device is configured to engage water in response to the watercraft leaning toward the starboard side when turning. The starboard deflection device is laterally aligned with the starboard side tunnel. Each of the deflection devices includes an angled surface extending downwardly and rearwardly from an upper tunnel surface of a corresponding one of the tunnels. The angled surface is positioned to remain above a water line when the multihull watercraft is at rest on water.

METHOD FOR RENEWABLE ENERGY GENERATION FROM OFFSHORE STATIONS DESIGNED FOR OPERATION IN OPEN OCEAN AND HIGH-HURRICANE REGIONS
20240300625 · 2024-09-12 ·

Renewable Energy (RE) sources are already one of the cheapest sources of energy available today but are variable and infirm, and the open ocean offers many opportunities to generate energy by using various disparate sources and methods on a floating station. These energy stations converting renewable energy including solar, ocean currents, wind, waves and batteries and hydrogen to store energy and provide sufficient stable power and energy as required and available most of the hours. The invention claimed here is a system to capture energy from a combination of wind, solar and ocean currents, along with batteries for storage and later use and hydrogen creation, storage and use for generation. In addition, apparatus is described that provide mechanical stability and resilience in deep open seas and reliably survive storms and hurricanes. Also described is a method for overcoming intermittency of ensuring continuous and stable energy export from the station, and finally methods to continually operate RE station in the open seas even during storms and hurricanes and survive the high winds and waves.

STRUCTURE AND ASSEMBLY FOR RECESSED DECK PORTION IN PONTOON BOAT
20180154986 · 2018-06-07 ·

A pontoon boat is provided that includes at least two pontoons running longitudinally beneath the boat and providing buoyancy thereto; a deck framework mounted above and connected to the pontoons; a deck mounted on the deck framework; a recessed deck portion extending downwardly through the deck and the deck framework, the recessed deck portion forming a cavity into the deck including a bottom and side walls forming a basin extending into and beneath the deck; and at least one seat adjacent the recessed deck portion and mounted to the deck.

Small leisure boat provided with table and seats
09975610 · 2018-05-22 · ·

Disclosed in the present invention is a small leisure boat. The leisure boat according to the present invention comprises: a container-shaped boat on which people board; seats arranged along the inner wall of the boat body; three or more connection rods of which one end is coupled to the boat body and which are arranged symmetrically with the boat body at the center; and floating bodies respectively connected to the other end of each of the connection rods. According to the present invention, riders can converse or play a game while facing each other by arranging the table inside the boat body and the seats around the table, thereby increasing convenience and entertainment aspects of leisure activities. Also, the stability of the leisure boat is significantly increased by the floating bodies arranged symmetrically around the boat body, and the boat body is not easily rocked due to movement of users or waves due to the positioning of the boat body at the center of the three floating bodies, thereby enabling enjoyment of refreshing and safe leisure activities.

Twin-hull offshore structure comprising an interconnecting central deck

A floating hydrocarbon processing/storage structure with a first and second assembly, each including a hull having side walls, one or more storage tanks and a deck structure, a connection structure interconnecting the hulls, processing equipment situated on the deck structures, at least one riser connected to a subsea hydrocarbon well and to the processing equipment and/or storage tanks, with a mooring system connecting the processing/storage structure to the sea bed, each hull including a hull deck structure bridging the side walls, the connection structure including a central deck extending at or near the height of the hull deck structures along at least 70% of the length of the hulls, the central deck supporting at least one of: risers vertically extending from the central deck between the hulls to the sea bed, fluid ducts horizontally supported on the central deck, and at least one drilling/work-over rig or crane.

Offshore Floating Structures

An offshore floating structure such as a wind turbine includes a number of improvements. The floating structure can include a chain engaging system configured to prevent any lengthwise movement of a mooring chain. The floating structure can also include a mooring fixture pivotally coupled to the hull to prevent shock loads from being transmitted directly from the mooring line to the hull. The floating structure can also include installation aid structures that provide additional water plane area and/or buoyancy to the structure. The floating structure can also have a hull that is optimized for use as an offshore wind turbine.
