Bracket for mounting a thruster to a boat
A bracket for mounting a thruster to a boat includes a horizontal neck portion, an upper mounting support portion, a support plate portion that extends downward from the upper mounting support portion, and an enclosure portion. The support plate portion and the rear of the upper mounting support portion form a transom-facing surface in a plane that is generally at a right angle relative to a horizontal plane, within a small range of angles. The transom-facing surface can angled to match the angle of the transom of a boat to which the thruster bracket is mounted. A thruster can be mounted to the thruster bracket at a level where the thruster will be out of the water when the boat is moving fast and up on plane, and will be in the water when the boat is moving very slow.
FLUID MACHINE AND UNDERWATER VEHICLE
A fluid machine includes: a shaft portion extending in an axis direction; a shroud provided to surround the shaft portion, and forming a flow path between the shroud and the shaft portion, the flow path having one side in the axis direction serving as an upstream side and another side in the axis direction serving as a downstream side; a propeller provided rotatably around the axis between the shaft portion and the shroud; a motor provided in the shroud and configured to rotationally drive the propeller; and a bearing apparatus provided only to the shaft portion, out of the shroud and the shaft portion, and rotationally supporting the propeller.

Convertible ducted fan engine
A convertible ducted fan engine having a shroud, a drive shaft connected to a mechanical fan, and a rotational drive motor configured to rotate the mechanical fan. An embodiment includes a linear drive motor configured to translate the drive shaft and mechanical fan in a direction parallel to a longitudinal axis of the shroud. The convertible ducted fan engine includes a fluid-propulsion configuration in which the mechanical fan rotates freely with respect to the shroud to produce thrust through fluid flow, and a drive-wheel configuration in which the shroud rotates about the rotational axis.
MOTOR-INTEGRATED FLUID MACHINE AND VERTICAL TAKEOFF AND LANDING AIRCRAFT
The motor-integrated fan has a suction port and a blowing port, and includes a rotating part rotatably supported on a shaft part; and a peripheral drive motor that rotates the rotating part by applying motive power from a duct provided on an outer peripheral side of the shaft part. The motor includes: a permanent magnet on a rotation support ring connected to the outer peripheral side of a blade of the rotating part; and a coil facing the permanent magnet in the axial direction of a rotational axis. In a cross-section taken on a plane orthogonal to the circumferential direction of the rotational axis, the center of gravity of a free end side portion including at least one of the rotation support ring and the permanent magnet is positioned closer to the suction port in the axial direction than the center of gravity of the thrust applied to the blade.
DRIVING UNIT FOR A TUNNEL THRUSTER AND A TUNNEL THRUSTER WITH SUCH DRIVING UNIT
A driving unit for an electric tunnel thruster. Such driving unit includes an electric motor, a controller and a support for mounting the electric motor and its controller on a tunnel of the tunnel thruster. The electric motor and the controller have separate housings and are mounted separately from each other to the electric motor support that is also a heat conductive radiator element for cooling the controller, and at least one heat radiating surface of the controller is contacted to at least one heat-absorbing surface of the electric motor support.
