VENTILATION CONTROL SYSTEM
An aeration control system and method for a marine vessel. The system includes a valve configured to be coupled to an aeration conduit of a marine vessel. The valve is configured to be responsive to a valve control signal having a first value so as to be open and to provide air to the aeration conduit, and the valve configured to be responsive to the valve control signal having a second value so as to be closed and not provide air to the aeration conduit. The aeration control system also includes a control device, electrically coupled to the valve, that provides the valve control signal to the valve

SYSTEM FOR REDUCING BLADE TIP VORTEX CAVITATION BY CONTROLLING MASS FLOW
Disclosed is a system for reducing blade tip vortex cavitation by controlling mass flow. The system reduces blade tip vortex cavitation that occurs around blades of a propulsive propeller of a ship when the propulsive propeller rotates to generate force required to propel the ship across the sea by forming a plurality of flow holes in the propeller blades and controlling mass flow through the plurality of flow holes, i.e., appropriately discharging water to the outside or suctioning outside water through the plurality of flow holes, thereby reducing underwater noise and vibration of the hull. The system includes a propeller, a water feeding pipe, a water supply/suction unit, and a controller.
Method and system for optimising operation of vessel
Disclosed are a method and a virtual sensor system for determining the speed through water of a marine vessel. The method includes obtaining propeller revolutions per minute and at least one of torque at propeller, propulsion power, thrust and engine fuel flow, obtaining speed over ground of the vessel and using the obtained data and hydrodynamic modelling to determine the speed through water of the vessel.

Rotating electrical machine apparatus
In a rotating electrical machine apparatus, a rotor portion provided in a cylindrical portion and a stator portion provided in a recessed portion in which the rotor portion is housed are aligned along the rotation axis of a rim such that a force is generated in a direction opposite to the direction of a load that acts along the rotation axis of the rim of loads that act on the rim following rotation of a blade.
Method of decreasing pressure fluctuation on hull of twin-propeller ship by adjusting rotation angles of two propellers
Disclosed is a method of decreasing pressure fluctuation induced on a surface of a hull due to propeller cavitation by adjusting a relative rotation angle of propellers of a twin-propeller ship.
METAL POLYMER COMPOSITE FOR MAKING BALANCING WEIGHTS FOR APROPELLERS AND METHOD OF MAKING AND USING THE SAME
The embodiment relates to a balanced propeller and to an extrudable metal polymer composite and process for making and using the composite to make balancing weight strips for marine or boat propellers. Metal particulate of adequate particle size is mixed with a polymer that is extruded or injection molded to form a high-density weighted strip.
