Electromechanically actuated control rod for flight vehicles
A control rod assembly is provided for moving a control surface of a flight vehicle. The control rod assembly includes a first connector for connecting to a first structure of vehicle, and a second connector for connecting to a second structure of the vehicle. A connecting rod may be operably coupled between the first and second connectors, and an actuator may be operably coupled to the connecting rod. The actuator may include a screw-and-nut assembly, and a motor that is configured to drive the screw-and-nut assembly. The actuator may be operable such that driving the screw-and-nut assembly via the motor causes the connecting rod to translate linearly along a longitudinal axis to thereby vary a distance between the first and second connectors. The actuators may be electromechanical actuators which may be controlled by a controller without pilot interaction. Two such actuators may be provided on opposite sides of the assembly.

Rotor assembly with static mast and pivoting rotor hub
A gimbaled rotor assembly for an aircraft. The gimbaled rotor assembly including a static mast; a spherical bearing comprising an inner component and an outer component pivotable relative to each other about a bearing focus, the inner component fixedly coupled to the static mast; a rotor hub rotatably coupled to the outer component, allowing for relative rotation of the rotor hub about a rotor axis and for pivoting together with the outer component about the bearing focus; and a primary hub spring coupling the outer component to the static mast and configured for opposing pivoting of the rotor hub about the bearing focus from a neutral position.
PROPELLANT FORCE GENERATOR
A propellant force generator is provided having the size in the axial direction of a rotational shaft of a motor reduced while making the pitch angles of rotational blades driven by the motor variable. The propellant force generator includes a propellant-force generating motor adapted to generate a propellant force for rotational blades, a pitch varying motor adapted to generate a rotational motion for changing pitch angles of the rotational blades, a rotation-linear motion converting unit adapted to convert the rotational motion generated by the pitch varying motor into a linear motion, and a linear motion-rotation converting unit adapted to convert the linear motions converted by the rotation-linear motion converting unit into rotational motions. At least a part of the linear motion-rotation converting unit is located within the propellant-force generating motor.
Rotor control mechanism
A compact and unobtrusive rotor control mechanism is presented that provides collective and cyclic pitch change to both rotors of a coaxial rotor system as well as a differential collective pitch change to one or both rotors simultaneously.

SWASHPLATE ASSEMBLY FOR A ROTOR SYSTEM
A rotatable swashplate is rotatable relative to a stationary swashplate around a shaft and connects to a pitch control rod assembly. The rotatable swashplate includes an upper portion and a lower portion. The upper portion is extendable outside of a stationary swashplate and includes a plurality of lugs each configured to attach to a pitch control rod assembly, an innermost wall configured to receive a shaft, and a membrane. The lower portion is positionable within the stationary swashplate and has an outermost wall and at least one extension extending radially between the outermost wall and the innermost wall. The membrane extends radially over the at least one extension.
