Inflatable hood for air protection
A protective hood for air travel including a plurality of deformable partitions coupled to each other defining an inner cavity, wherein in a folded position the inner cavity is collapsed to a negligible size and in an unfolded position the inner cavity is configured to comfortably confine an human head, wherein one of the partitions includes a deformable opening configured to be stretched and fit over a head, and at least one coupling mechanism configured to attach one of the deformable partitions to an aircraft seat.
AIRCRAFT OVERHEAD PASSENGER SERVICE UNIT
An aircraft overhead passenger service unit comprises a plurality of oxygen masks for supplying oxygen to aircraft passengers in an emergency situation; and at least two different oxygen mask storage portions, which are spaced apart from each other in a longitudinal direction (L). The plurality of oxygen masks are stored in the at least two different oxygen mask storage portions. The aircraft overhead passenger service unit further comprises an oxygen mask controller, which is switchable between at least two different configurations. The at least two different oxygen mask storage portions are individually associated with the at least two different configurations, with each of the at least two different configurations effecting a release of only the oxygen masks of the associated oxygen mask storage portion in the emergency situation.
Passenger oxygen mask drop zone extender
An extension mechanism for a passenger oxygen mask includes a guide block with defined channels to guide the rotation of a telescoping extension arm mechanism. After rotation, a rotating sleeve latch releases an internal telescoping arm that extends a pull flag for the passenger to grab and release the oxygen mask. A pull flag release mechanism releases the pull flag when the extension arm mechanism is fully extended. Combined spring biasing elements keep the pull flag secured in place while stowed and retract a pull flag retention pin at full extension.
SUPPLEMENTAL OXYGEN ASSEMBLIES
A supplemental oxygen assembly for a vehicle can include a container and a flow assembly attached to and/or configured to be contained within the container in a stowed position and to extend from the container in a deployed position. The flow assembly can be configured to be connected to an oxygen supply to supply oxygen to a person in the deployed position. The supplemental oxygen assembly can include an extension device connected to the flow assembly. The extension device can be configured to extend or allow extension of the flow assembly toward an aisle of the vehicle to aid the flow assembly in being reached from or moveable toward an aisle of the vehicle by a person in the aisle.
AIRCRAFT OXYGEN SUPPLY UNIT WITH BLISTER PACK TRAY
A device for keeping ready passenger oxygen masks is disclosed. In embodiments, the device comprises an oxygen connection and a module container which can be fastened onto or installed in a passenger service unit (PSU) and includes compartments for receiving passenger oxygen masks, said passenger oxygen masks being connectable to the oxygen connection and being arranged ready for use. The module container comprises a release opening with an opening edge, and a cover which closes the release opening. The cover is releasably fastened to the opening edge and comprises a pull flag for removing the cover from the opening edge, wherein the cover and/or the pull flag is connected to an activation unit for activating an oxygen flow from the oxygen connection to the respective passenger oxygen mask.
PASSENGER SERVICE UNIT HAVING A COVERING, PASSENGER SEATING AREA AND VEHICLE HAVING A PASSENGER SERVICE UNIT
A passenger service unit, a passenger seating area, and a vehicle having a passenger service unit are provided, wherein the passenger service unit comprises a carrier element that can be extended in a longitudinal direction and a covering. The covering covers at least a section of the carrier element. At least one electrical and/or electronic element is integrated in the covering.
Pressurized Gas Manifold and System
A system may include a manifold. The manifold may include a body and a rupture disc. The body may include first connector connected to a pressurized source, a second connector, and a third connector. The body may include hollow pathway network including a first path portion extending from the pressurized source to a pathway junction, a second path portion extending from the pathway junction to the second connector, and a third path portion extending from the pathway junction to the third connector. The first path portion may include a bend. The rupture disc may be positioned between the bend and the pathway junction. When the rupture disc is in an unruptured state, the rupture disc may seal the first path portion from the other path portions. When the rupture disc is in a ruptured state, the rupture disc may allow a flow from the pressurized source to the third connector.
Personal oxygen enhanced breathing system
An apparatus, systems comprising the apparatus, and methods of using and making the apparatus are disclosed, with the apparatus comprising an inlet, at least one oxygen membrane separator in communication with the inlet and in communication with an ambient airflow, with the ambient airflow comprising an ambient oxygen concentration, at least one piezoelectric pump in communication with the at least one oxygen membrane separator, and an outlet for emitting an enhanced oxygen concentration airflow.
